Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elliott
went to Richmond Hill and Mr.
Elliott is going to hospital from
there for surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mann were
in London on Thursday, visiting
John Mann, a patient in hospital
there.

Johnston was able to return home
after having surgery at Sick Chil-
dren's Hospital.
Congratulations to the James-
town broomball team who won
their game last Monday night and
won the trophy for the third year
which has a place of honor in
Blather's Store, Bluevale.
Several members of the team are
from Bluevale and surrounding
area. Jackets are being ordered
for the champions.

A grant of $200 was given to the
Hamlet of Lakelet for the instal
lation of street lights; a loan for
the balance will be granted when
required. Agreements were ap-
proved with Ontario Hydro re-
garding street lighting in Ford-
wich, Gorrie, Wroxeter and Bel -
more. Total amount for lighting
for the four hamlets at this time
is $1,131.52.

Instructed the road superinten-
dent to purchase the necessary
culverts for road maintenance; -
Accepted the auditor's report
for the year 1972 as presented by
the representative of MacGil-
livray and Co. which stated the
township ended the year on even
terms;
Granted Robert Howitt permis-
sion to cross the road with water

euchre party in the Bluevale
Community Hall, Thursday.
There were eight tables in play.
High lady's prize was won by
Mrs. Stella Pocaluyko; low lady,
Mrs. George Brewer; high man,

Pullman; lucky draw, Mrs. Les

April 19 when Mr. and Mrs. Hugh

James Armstrong, RR 4; Wing -
ham, whose farm property faces
Highway 116 east of Wingham,
was electedfirst vice president of
Huron County Plowmen's Asso-
ciation Monday\ night at the
group's meeting held at Win-
throp,.
Mr. Armstrong has been active
with the association for the past
three years and has a son who has
won prizes for plowing in town-
ship and county competitions.
John Clark, RR 5, Goderich,
was elected president and sue-
ceeds the late Ken Stewart of RR
5, Seaforth. W. J. Leeming, RR 4,
Walton, was elected second vice
president and Russell Bolton, RR
1, Seaforth, secretary -treasurer
with William Hanly of Goderich
as assistant.

new executive, the main business
was the planning of the 46th an-
nual county plowing match to be
held at the farm of Howard
