It was a dif- ferent story in the second when they cut the lead in half as Brent Day scored on a pass from Tom Foulon and later in the period Dave Shaw pushed home Bill Brophy's rebound for the second goal. In the third period the Wing - ham boys picked up two more to tie the game at 4-4. Laverne Steffler scored from Dave Shaw and with 10 minutes to go Bruit Day walked in alone to fire the tying goal. There was only 40 seconds to go when the Wingham boys failed to cover in front of the net and Drayton scored to win the game 5-4.
