The Howick Lions Club month-
ly draw for $500 was won Satur-
day by Clayton Nicholson of Rip-
ley. Mr. Nicholson, president of
the Ripley Lions Club, was s ex-
cited he could not find words to
express his surprise.
The proceeds from draw tick-
ets have been earmarked for the
swimming pool. The contract has
been let and work is to be com-
pleted by June, in readiness for
lessons which will commence in
July.
A coupon appears elsewhere in
this paper for anyone who would
like topurchase a ticket. Coupons
have been received from all over
Ontario. Last week there were
three from Vancouver, ' three
from Winnipeg and a letter on
Saturday with a cheque for $20
for four tickets from Balmerton,
Ordario. Now, see if you can„find
that place. It is north o Kenora
and Red Lake—as far north as
the road goes.
Response from outsiders has
been wonderful and the Howick
Lions ask for -continued support
in this worthwhile project.
