Belgrave seemed to lack the zip and desire that they must pro- duce in order to defeat Kurtzville. Li an average game Belgrave takes more penalties than their opposition; but manage to kill off. these penalties with a minimum if goals scored against them. Not so in this encounter as five of the six goals Kurtzville got were scored while Belgrave was shorthanded. Brian Coultes scored both (if Belgrave's goals in a game which saw outbreaks of violence toward the end. In the second period Belgrave managed to outscore Kurtzville 2- .0 on goals by Grant Coultes. In the third period Belgrave 'again got a two -goal performance this time from Larry . Tom Sutcliffe narrowed the margin at 14:36 of the second and only sensational netminding by Larry Ai rent kept the Corvairs from evening the .coutlt. Caledonia pulled their goalie late in the third•period in an effort to get :the equalizer :butthe move backfired as an unidentified Cor- vair handled the puck in hisown crease which is an automatic penalty -shot infraction. With little more than five minutes left, IGA scored three goals to break the game wide open. IGA goals were scored by Dave Golley, Jim Ste. Marie, Mike Beattie. Marks Brothers went one game up last Thursday night with a 5-2 victory. Waldens started out fast, going ahead 2-1 on goals by Mark Pass- more arid Terry Anger, but after the 14 -minute mark of the first period, Marks Brothers were in complete control.
