home of Mrs. H. S. Wardrop.
Mrs. George Thompson, ' con-
vener of stewardship and re-
cruiting, opened the meeting
with the hymn, "We Give Thee
but Thine Own". Mrs. Dave Gibb
read the scripture and Mrs.
Thompson gave a reading,
"Caring", followed by prayer.
The roll call was answered by
11 members with a scripture
verse telling "What is a good
steward".
. Mrs. Gibb gave a reading,
"Valuation of the Good Man". A
dialogue, "Responsibility", was
given by Mrs. Thompson and
Mrs. Gibb. Mrs. Thompson then
told of work being done at Sign
Yorkton, Sask., from the Febru-
ary Observer. The hymn, "Foun-
tain of Love" was sung followed
by prayer.

was in response to an earlier one

The offering was received. , Mrs.
Moore thanked Mrs. Wardrop for
having the meeting at her home
and closed the meeting . with
prayer followed by the Mizpah
benediction repeated in unison.
All -then enjoyed the birthday
tea.

Wawanosh couple
WHITECHURCH — On Satur-
day evening, March 3, the com-
munity gathered at St. Helens
Hall toonor Mr. and Mrs. Char-
les Robinson who had moved
from the 10th Concession, East
Wawanosh, to Wingham.
Eleven tables of players en-
joyed progressive euchre and at
lunch time Mr. and Mfrs. Robin-
son were called to the front and
given seats of honor while Donald
Dow read an address and Ivan
Dow presented them with a
beautiful swag lamp and a lawn
chair.
Mr. and Mrs. Robinson both re-
plied, thanking their neighbors
and friends for their kindness in
remembering them with the
party and their gifts.
Mrs. William Ashby of Toronto,
who was visiting with them, was
also present for the party.

FORDWICH •— The first meet-
ing was held at the home of Mrs.
Carl D'Arcey March 5. For roll
call the members filled out the
registration form. March 26 will
be the next meeting to be held at
the home of Mrs. Ron Livermore.
Officers elected were: presi-
dent, Mabel Loughran; vice
president, Karen Miller; secre-
tary, Kathy -Simmermaker;
press reporter, Eileen Miller.
Mrs. Livermore demonstrated
how to equip a sewing basket and
listed the articles needed. For the
discussion she told the girls what
to make, how to choose material
and quality and also different
types of knits.
In practical work Mrs. Liver-
more demonstrated on taking
measurements with Cathy Sim-
mermaker.
