Strong of Bel - grave .and Becker, of Alma be- came involved in a fight . with Strong sitting off for 9 minutes and Becker for 7. " In the third period D. Becker of Alma spoiled Wayne Coultes' bid for a shut -out with a goal at the 4:17 mark. But once again Tom Black put Belgrave into a two - goal lead at 12:15 assisted by Brian Coultes and Jim English. Once again_ ah Alma player got his stick up around a Belgrave player's head and once again the Alma player was convinced that it was in his best interest to keep his stickdown. Tom Black hesita- ted only long enough to allow Austin of Alma to walk away from the fight but when he didn't Tom proceeded to 'thump him hard enough that the Alma player left the game willingly and did not return. In the third period, with the game once again' under the referee's control Belgrave out- scored Alma 2-1 bringing the final score to 7-1. Scoring Alma's only goal was Ron IArchibald. Scoring for Belgrave- was Rod Ansley from Tom Black and 'Larry Rob- inson from Bob Pegg and Neil Bieman. Belgrave will now take. on the winner of the Fordwich-Kurtz- Ville series which as ollast week • was tied at 2 games apiece, for the inter -County and W.O.A.A. 'V championship. Belgrave coach Keith Moffat and all his players would like to make special mention here of • their dedicated team manager, Hugh Blair, Who was recently struck by an eye injury and is recovering in a London hospital.. Hugh loves this team and is as -:much a part of the Belgrave„ intermediates as .anyone. , Over • , the past several years Hugh had dedipated much time and effort), toward the betterment of, the team. Wingham started strong when they scored seven goals in the first period, but slowed down in the second with only two goals and none in the third.
