Steve Morrison replied for theCanadiens, •• On Friday the, Hawks and Bruins battled to a scoreless game until the 41-mlnute mark when Eric McGregor ,broke through with two fast goals on passes from Doug MacIntyre. The game ended 2-0 for the Bruins. The Hawks now hold a slim one -point lead over the Leafs. The Bruins moved into third posi: tion, three points off the pace, while the Canadiens are only one •point back of the Bruins. • This week sees the Leafs and Bruins meet Tuesday, which should be one of the best games thus far in the schedule. The Archies have 39; Snoopies 38 and Peanuts 33, Patsy Nesbitt rolled the high single of 143 and high double of 263 for the girls°. The Argos have 64; Kedapaji 50 and the Cane 39. Four Steps To Stardom Tournament The Bluewater Zone bantam roll -offs in the tournament were held at the Collingwood lanes on(c Sunday. In the girls' class, Debbie Cook of Clinton had the high single of 270 and Sandra Setley of Walker- ton had the high triple of 597. The Walkerton girls' team was high with a total of 2572. Jamie Smith of Wingham was high three -game bowler with his 662; Larry Daer of Goderich was singles' winner with his 518 three - game total. The Wingham boys' team was high with a total of 2455. Members were Billy Ohm 460; Rick MacLennan 487; Shel- dn Jones 379; Jamie Smith 662. Bowlers were from Coiling - wood, Owen Sound, Hanover, Goderich, Listowel, Wingham, Clinton, WalkertOn and Zurich. Juves continue winning In an exhibitior0 game here Saturday the Juvekiiles played host to Lucknow in in exhibition game, clobbering the visiting team 10-3. Wingham Juveniles were in- volved in a fast har fought hock- ey battle at Harrist n last Thurs- day in a scheduled game, with Wingham coming dut on top with a 4-3 win. The Wingham goal getters were,Murray Black, Doug Leitch with one each, and Bob Johnston scored two goals. Harriston scorers were Dowler, Reid and Clunas with one Itch. Take Command The Wingham squad easily took charge of the first period with Murray Black scoring twice along with John Henderson and Steve Ste. Marie. Lucknow's lone first period goal 'was scored by Jim Murray • In the second Oriod there were only three goals scored, one each by Rick Foxton and Steve Caslick for the locals and Bob Moffat for Lucknow. ° In the third period Murray Black once again led the local squad in scoring twice, with the assists going to Kevin Pletch and Steve Ste.
