Mrs. Elston stated that films
had been shown, literature dis-
tributed, and, talks given to vari-
ous groups of women in her work
on education.
The clinic report was prepared
by Mrs. D. S. MacNaughton who
was unable to be present as she
was attending a meeting in To-
ronto. In her absence'Mrs. Elston
read the report. It was stated that
from November until the end of
January three mcs had been
held with a to a atttendance of 83
patients. Two clinics were can-
celled during that period. Be-
cause of hospital budget restric-
tions, volunteers from the Hospi-
tal Auxiliary were asked to assist
the doctors on clinic day rather
than having nurses from the hos-
pital in attendance as had pre-
viously been done. Coffee and
cookies prepared by volunteer
workers were served at each
clinic.
The meeting concluded with
the announcement that the next
meeting of the Huron unit will be
held in Wingham in the early part
of May.

Rebekahs of Teeswater
-aid hospital auxiliary
Wingham and District Hospital
was the direct receiver of the
benefits of a special kind of
Valentine party held Monday
evening by the Rebekah Lodge at
Teeswater.
The ladies there, under the
leadership of Noble Grand Mrs.
Pat Netzke, held a Valentine
party as part of their regular
meeting. What was unusual about
it was that each member brought
or sent a gift for the gift case at
the hospital. Six dollars in cash
was received, augmented by a
further $10 gift from the Lodge.
A large carton of very attrac-
tive gifts donated for sale at the
gift case operated by the Hospital
Aukiliary, arrived at the hospital
Tuesday noon and was turned
over on behalf of the Lodge by
Mt*, Shirley Grant of Teeswater,
to Auxiliary President Mrs. K.
MacLennan and Gift Cage Con-
vener Mrs. Catherine Forsyth.
Lovely Gifts
Virs. Forsyth, in expressing her
appreciation of the lovely gifts,
explained that "we contacted the
Rebekah lodge recently describ-
ing the work of the. Ladies'
Auxiliary and our hopes for the
coming year, especially regard-
ing the gift case. Their response
has been wonderful, indicative I
think, of their concern at all
times for others. The estimated
value of the items is amt X56
which can all be sold".
She explained that "when we
present our monthly reports, they
seem like just so many figures
but to the members of the gift
ease committee there are many
intangible's. These gifts today
represent much human warmt
and enthusiasm for the efforts of
another ladies' group. The true
spirit of community effort!"
and family of Londort„visited over
the weekend with Mr. and 'Mrs.
Murray Underwood and family,
also with Mrs. ' Dale's mother,
Mrs. Laura Gowdy.
Mr., and Mrs: Russell Gaunt
visited relatives in .Goderl.Fh on
Sunday.
—Mrs. Gordon Elliott has re-
turned to her home on Edward
Street .ate, spending some time
with her daughter in London.
