meeting of the United Church
Women was held in the Sunday

noon. Mrs. Scott Clarkson, the

meeting of the evening unit of the
United Church Women was held
at the home of Mrs, Murray Lott-
gheed with 18 present.
Mrs. Cliff Branton opened the
worship,,reading an article based
on the "Green Revolution*Th
die. "Stand Up, Stand Up for
Jesus" was sungafter which
Mrs. Roberts read the scripture
lesson. Mrs. Branton closed the
worship with prayer.

District Credit Union celebrated
20 years service to the commun-
ity with a banquet and business
meeting followed by a dance on
February 2 in the Women's In-
stitute Hall. Ninety members and
guests attended.
Bruce McCall spoke, giving an
amusing and thought-provoking
address. Clarke Johnston enter-
tained with a song and Clifford
Coultes gate a monologue. Presi-
dent Gilbert Beecroft reported a
successful year and that the dir-
