The first vice president, Mrs. Wallace Conn, presided, in the absence of president, Mrs. Bill Rintoul. The meeting opened with the reading of a New Year resolution poem and a' hymn was sung. Mrs. Robert Ross read the ,scripture and gave the Meditation, "A New Year". "In the -New Year", she said, "we' encounter many ex- periences and, believing in God's premises, we will be victorious. The Lord will not forsake those who trust Him and will bring peace and comfort to all". The roll call was answered by 12giving a Bible verse containing the word 'year' and minutes were read by secretary, Mrs. Dawson Craig.
