The Wingham Juveniles in the
past week have played four
games, winning two, tying one
and losing one.
6n Friday Dec. 22 they visited
Mildmay and won 6-1. It was a
close game for the first two
periods with the score at 2-1. The
scorers. for Wingham then were
Dave Hodgins and Russel Jones.
In the third period the scorers
were Doug Leitch with two, Mur-
ray Black and Dave Hodgins one
each.
Next day the boys were hosts to
Harriston and won 7-4. In the first
period Brian Yahbee scored the
first two goals. Also scoring in the
first period were Cliff Hethering-
ton and'Russell Jones.
In the second period Wingham
scorers were Doug Leitch and
Dave Hodgins. In the third period
Wingham's lone goal wad, seored
by Dave Hodgins.
Tie and Lose
On Wednesday,Dec. 27 the
boys played in Drayton and tied
that team 44. Next day they went
to Harriston and lost 5-3. In this
game Wingham played with 11
players because the remainder of
the equipment was in the trunk of
the manager's car, with the key
missing.

the Wingham„ Colts attended the
'Winter Games' PeeWee hockey
tournament held in Kincardine
and Came home with the cham-
pionship.
In the first round the Wingham
boys whipped Southampton 11-4
to send Wingham into the cham-
pionship round and the losers into
•the' consolation round. The Colts
jumped into a 4-o lead and never

tives. The visiting Bantams were
whiners by 5-1 but the Wingham
PeeWee house league all-stars
wound up with an 11-3 win.
In the first match the visitors
easily outscored the local boys
with Brian Leader popping in the
only Wingham goal while Wing -
ham was short handed.
Easy Win
In the PeeWee game the locals
went away ahead to lead 8-0 at
one -stage, then coastetl,to an 11-3
win. The big guns for Wingham
were Bill LeVan with four goals
and Rick MacLennan with three.
Bruce Stainton picked up a pair,
with singles to Stan Stapleton and
Bill Ste. Marie. \
On Friday the two Wingham
teams went to Clinton while the
Wingham PeeWees prevailed 6-2.
Wingham PeeWee scorers were
Mark Passmore with two goals,
the remaining four goals being
divided among Bruce - Stainton,
Bill LeVan, Steve Burke and Bill

offensively and: defensively, had 4
goals.
Wingham's :second game saw
the Colts defeat the host Kincard-
ine team 5-1, to eliminate- `them
from any further play. The score
at the end of the first period was
2-0 for Wingham on two goals by
Sheldon Jones: Kincardine.

Doug Taylor, who thwarted many
Kincardine drives, was the stand-
out defensive player.
In the third game Wingham
won theampionship by ousting
Hanover 6-3. They. led 1-0 at the
end of one, 2-1 at the end of two
but broke it open in the third with
4 goals. Wingham goal ,getters
were: David Kieffer and Doug
McGregor with two each and Jay
MacLaurin and Gord Kinahan
with one each. David Kieffer,
who saw double duty with the ab-
sence of two regulars, played an
outstanding game. In addition to
his two goals he set up two others.
After 15 starts this year the
Colts remain undefeated. It is a
great team to see in action and
your next opportunity to see them
play is this Friday, January 5, at
7:00 p.m. at the local arena when
Mount Forest visits Wingham.
