TM ent a Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hall Were guests of honor at a °Colne and Go Tea' at their home in Ethel on Wednesday, Dee, 27th, 1972, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Hall were mar- ried at the home of the bride's parents, in Grey Township on Dec. 27th, 1922. Mrs. Hall was the Li- former Pearl Dobson, dughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dobson and the groom's parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Wil- liam Hall of Grey Township. M- tendants at the wedding were Pearl Congram, cousin of the bride, now Mics. Charles Shiell of Wingham, and Stanley Hall, brother of the groom, formerly of JON.C. WARD hadered Accountant Wallace Ave, N. LISTOWEL, ONT. Wingham, who died in 1900. A feature of the celebration was that this was the third gena erotical to celebrate% a golden anniversary in the same house. The bride's maternal grandpas- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Cla'ia Rays nerd, celebrated their 50th wed- ding anniversary in the house in 1918 and also their 60th anniver- sary in the settle house in 1928. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dobson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in the hr�ase in 1944. Mr. and Mrs. Hall a led in the house since it, their farm home in Grey Township in 1955. The couple has one son Elwin of Owen Sound, and three grand- children. Another son, Jewitt, was killed in a car accident in 1955 and a grandson, Bill, died in September, 1972. Mr. Hall has two brothers living, George of Florida. who telephoned his con- gratulations and Cecil of Kings- ton who was present for the cele- bration,, Mrs. Hall had two brothers, Elwin and Quest, both deceased. Guests at the tea were greeted by Elwin and Rose Hall and their son, Bob. Sally Hall, Cindy and Bonnie Evans were in charge of the guest book. The tea table was covered with a lace tablecloth crocheted by the bride of 50 years and a floral centrepiece of yellow mums was flanked by white and gold candles in brass candle- holders. A three -tiered wedding cake decorated with yellow,roses graced the buffet. The cake was decorated bye Mrs. Joe Pearson, next-door neighbor of Mr. and Mrs. Hall. • Pouring tea were Mrs. Charles Shiell of Wingham, MTS. Quest Dobson . , of Listowel rand Mrs. Cecil Hall of Kingston. Serving the guests were Susan Hall; Sally Dobson and Darlene Dobson, while Mrs, Doug Evans, Mrs. Bill- Dobson and Mrs.. ° Pete Dobson assisted in the kitchen.
