Cub news
,By Christine Foston
After, the Grand Howl` all the
Cubs and leaders gathered into a
large circle around a Christnlas
tree brought by one of the Cubs:
and sang Christmas carols. Each
Sixer and his group put on some
skitswhich were good and en.
joyed by all. When the skits were
over and the carols sung a Christ -
mas story was read by leader
Brian. Deyell. It was called
"Christmas Scout" and" was a
'well-meaning and interesting
story.
After the story Akela Kaa. (M.
Heim) gave out the black and .
blue stars to Richard Dougherty,
Reuben Jacklin received his
green star. Good work, boys.
Mr. Heim had the honor of giv-
ing out the gifts to the boys, fol.
lowed by the boys having hot
chocolate and cookies.
Afterwards, a peanut scramble
was held by Chil (K. Foxton) and
yours truly. Then the meeting
came to a close with the Cub
Prayer.
From the Cubs, leaders and
yours truly, a Happy New Year.
