Grades .1 and 2 have each made
an illustrated story book 'on the
religious story of Christmas.
They also made mobile Santas as
'well as tissue paper wreaths. The
classroom} has a tree with our
own handmade decorations. They.
also drew names for Christmas
gifts to be exchanged on Friday.
We hope a jolly fellow with a
white beard and red suit will visit
us then.
Grades 3 and 4 have been busy
making Christmas gifts..;.Weare
looking forward to the. holidays.
We have a tree in our room and
made decorations for it also.
Jerry DesRoches gave us the
tree. We wrote stories titled "If
I Were a Christmas•Tree Angel".
This week some parents visited
our classroom. We also made
Santa Claus mobiles.
The kindergarten class hap
been learning about how mother
prepares for Christmas. We
made popcorn and snowball
cookies. We also made paper
chains which were used to decor-
ate the Christmas tree. We are
going to participate in a Christ-
mas celebration assisted by
Street. It is visited by thousands each year. Illuminated,
musical and mobile items make a Christmas wonderland

other primary grades.
Mrs. O'Malley attended the
principals' workshop held in
Stratford last Monday and Tues-
day. Various topics such as lead-
ership, were discussed.
From all the pupils of Sacred
Heart, we wish you a Merry
Christmas and a Happy New
Year.
Euchre
winners
There were eight tables of
euchre in play at the Wingham
Orange Hall of Monday evening
of last week.
Prizes for high scores were
awarded to Mrs. Robert Powell
and .William Kennedy. Margaret
Carter was the low lady and Mrs.
Leonard James; who -played as a
man, was awarded low man's
prize.
Mrs. James Halliday and
Francis Freiburger won the
lucky draw prizes.

Asa service to the public, The Wingham Advance -Times
is making available the services of Chargex !or the payment
of subscriptions or classified advertising by mail or phone.
It will not be necessary to bring your Chargex card to The
Advance -limes, all that is necessary is to phone our office
giving your Chargex number and the card's ex 'r'y date.
Cash or cheques will, of course, still be ac epted in the
usual manner for payment- of subscriptions or classified
advertising, but the new service may be of interest -to those
people who make use of the Chargex system.
The majority of Advance -Times subscriptions fall due on
Dec. 31. If you have not renewed your paper for the coming.
year, please drop into our office, phone in your Chargex num-
ber, or mail us your cheque, moneyorder or Chargex number.
There has been no change in rate, which is $10 per year in
Canada or $12.50 outside of Canada.
We hope that you have enjoyed reading The Ad-
