held at Wroxeter
White Gift Sunday was ob-
served at Wroxeter United
Church last week with Bruce
Montgomery, Sunday School
superintendent in charge. Christ-
mas prelude music was played by
the organist, Mrs. Edwin Martin.
Members of the various classes
occupied the front pews and de-
posited their White Gifts at the
altar. The gifts will be sent to the
Saugeen Indian Reserve.
Teachers at the Sunday School
are Mrs. A. Gibson, Mrs. George
Gibson, Doreen Riley, Velma
Louttit, Tharon Riley, Glenia
Gibson, Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Mus-
grove.
A choral reading was giv0 by
Murray Louttit, Ronald Gibson,
Ivan Bonnet, Susan Hart, Debbie
Montgomery and Louise Gibson.

from Luke, Matthew and I Corin-
thians. The anthems were "An-
gels We Have Heard on High"
and "Rocking".
Rev. G. W. Sach baptized two
babies during the service.* They
were Brian William Merkley, son
of Mr. and Mrs. G. Merkley; and
Jason DWayn Edgar, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Davey Edgar.
Mr. Sach told the story "What
• Is a Gift?". He stated that a gift
costs us something in time, talent
and money and stressed the im-
• portance of sharing our gifts with
others.

District Hospital, was able to re-
turn to her home last Wednesday.

St. Andrew's Couples' Club met
in the "upper room" for the No-
vember meeting. •Couples in •
charge of the meeting were Rev. '•
and Mrs. Robert Armstrong and
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Currie.
The meeting opened with ;a -
word of welcome by .Mr. Currie,
followed by short prayer and
meditation. Scripture from St.
John was, read responsively.
Mr. Currie then introduced the
guest speaker for the evening,
Rev. Arman Wright, a former •
chaplain from the Reformatory,
Guelph. He spoke about Hope
'Manor, a home being built for
teenage boys. It is situated six
• miles from Kitchener .on three
aeres of land which has been
donated. This home, when
finished, will accommodate 16
• homeless teenage boys who are .
on probation and would otherwise
be in prison because they have no
suitable home to return to in the
community. It will be\supported
by 80 per cent assistanob from the
provincial department of Family
• and Social Services, and 20 per
• cent by gifts and donations of in-
terested Christian friends.
Mr. Wright spoke of the need
for such a home and asked for our
prayers and financial support. A
short discussion period followed
• which eroved very interesting.
Mrs. Armstrong expressed
• thanks to Mr. Wright, on behalf of
the Couples' Club. Offering at the
meeting was donated to Hope
Manor.
A lively sing -song of favorite

Robertson at the piano, led by
John Donaldson.
Mr. Armstrong closed the
meeting with prayer. Lunch was
served by couples in charge and a
social time enjoyed by all.
