Here we are ,baglt again for
"Cub Night". Quite a lew boys
were in attendance and, as usual,
started the meeting with the
Grand Howl. Then they had their
games for the night, "Crab Soc...
cer", then "Jump the Bean Bag"
until the bean bag -broke, then it
was 'sweep the floor' ! Bill St.
Marie assisted with the games.

After the presentation of
badges, John Morrison and
Stephan Nicholls were invested
into Cubs:. The following boys
were invested as sixers: Red
Sixer, Geoffrey Hamilton; Brown
Sixer, Bruce Levan; Green Sixer,
Reuben Jacklin; Blue Sixer,
Vaughan Passmore; White Sixer,
Scot McGregor; Yellow Sixer,
Kevin Netterfield. The Seconders
were then picked as follows: Red
Seconder, Randy Netterfield;
Brown Seconder, Ken Brooks;
Green Seconder; Jeffrey Jack-
son; Blue Seconder, Doug MacIn-
tyre; White Seconder, Bruce
MacIntyre; Yellow Seconder,
John May.
The meeting closed with the
Cub Prayer.

after spending a week with Mrs.
R. J. Galbraith', Minnie Street.
Sunday visitors at the same home
were Mr. and Mrs. William Furt-
ney and Earl Furtney all of Park-
hill. The latter remained for a
few days.

Provincial police called
tp several accidents
Wingham detachment Of the
Ontario Provincial Police inves-
tigated several automobile. acci-
dents during the week November
20-26. Two persons were charged
under the Liquor Control Act; six
charges laid under the Highway
Taffic Act and 17 charges laid un-
der the Criminal Code of Canada.
• Two people were injured as a
result of two separate incidents
*hich'dccurred last Friday. Mrs.
William Hutton of RR 2, Wing -
ham, was treated at the Wing -
ham 'and District Hospital for
shock and contusions after the
vehicle she was driving went out
of control on the B Line in Turn -
berry, approximately one mile
out cif Wingham. A passenger,
her daughter Darlene, 4, was
examined and released. Mrs.
Hutton was also released follow-
ing emergency treatment. Dam-
age to her vehicle was estimated
at $1,600. " •
Murray Cardiff of RR 1, Ethel,
received minor injuries when .his
vehicle and another driven by
Steven D. Sholdice of Walton
were involved in a collision on
Huron County Road 12, just north
f Huron County Road 16. Dam-
ge to both vehicles was esti-
mated at $450.
Also on • Friday, a vehicle
wned by Doran Thornton of RR
, Gorrie, which was parked in
russels, was struck by a vehicle
driven by Steven Sholdice. Dam-
ge was. minor.
The following day,, vehicles
owned by Bridge Motors Limited
f Brussels and Brussels Motors
imited of Brussels, were struck
y a vehicle driven by Steven
holdice. Damage in each case
as estimated at $150 and no in -
ries resulted.
Also on Saturday, a car driven
y Delmer B. Hymers of 555 Park
ve., Listowel, was involved in a
ngle car accident on Highway
when a fence and posts owned
y Ross Hoggart of RR 4; Wing -
am, were damaged. Mr. Hy-
ers was not injured but dam-
ges were estimated at $760.
Damages were estimated at
50 in a two -car collison Sunday •
Albert Street in Brussels.
Drivers of the vehicles were
George G. Jutzi of Brussels and
James B. Machan of Brampton.
Neither man was injured.
Also victims of the unfavorable
driving conditions on Sunday
were Donald S. Hickling of Lon-
don, who was involved in a single
car accident on Highway 4 south
of Highway 86 and Margaret E.
Robertson of RR 5, Wingham,
whose mishap took place on con-
cession 10 and 11, east of High-
way 4. Damages in each incident
were estimated at $250 but
neither driver was injured.
Glen H. Walker of RR 3, Wing -
ham, was involved in a single car
accident in which a fence Post on
the property of Harold Quipp was
damaged. There were no injur-
ies; total damages were estima-
ted at $415.

Mrs. Bill Furtney and Earl Furt-
Oey all of the Parkhill, area.
—Mrs. Arthur Edgar Sr. is pro-
gressing favorably following
surgery in St, Mary's Hospital,
• Kitchener. A card or friendly
note would no doubt cheer her
considerably.
• Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Ballagh
visited last Thursday with their
daughter, Mrs. John Clark, Mr.
Clark and sons at Hamilton.
—Mr. and Mrs. Gershom
Johnston, Catherine Street, spent
a few days recently with their son
and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Johnston and family of Listowel.
From there they „proceeded to
Kitchener to 'visit with their
daughter, Mrs. Stewart Smith
and Mr. Smith, Mr. and Mrs.
Dwight Smith.and Mr. and Mrs.
John Liddel and baby son.
