The Key '73 theme is "Calling
Our Continent to Christ" and is a
year-long .program, the first
stage of which has just begun. He
assured presbytery delegates
that the choice of projects to fit
the over-all theme would be left
up to individual congregations
and that there would be no
"steam roller" approach on the
partof the United Church, al-
though what other denominations
do is also up to them.
In other business the presby-
tery approved two resolutions
from the national office regard-
ing changes in the church's con-
stitution_ One would permit the
executive of the general council,
the church's parliament, to delay
the council's next meeting to 1975
to permit a simultaneous meeting
with the Anglican Church's
general synod_ The final vote on
church union is expected to be
held at that. time.
The other would permit con-
ferences to hold biennial meet-
ings if desired instead of annual
meetings as now required. Two-
thirds approval of all presby-
teries is required to make these
constitutional changes.
