solemnized in Teeswater
Sacred Heart Church, Tees -
water, was the setting for the
ceremony uniting in marriage
Marian Jean O'Malley and David
Brian Ohm en Friday, November
10, at 7:30 p.m. Rev. T. F. Mullikin
,officiated amid a setting of yel-
low mums. Mrs. James Fischer
sang "Ave Maria", "Thank You,
Lord" and "For All We Know".
She was accompanied by Mrs.
Bruce Keith on the organ.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas D. O'Malley of
Teeswater. Parents of the groom,
are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ohm Jr. of
Wingham. Mr. O'Malley gave his
daughter in marriage.
The bridal gown . was floor -
length Victorian style crystalette
with empire waistline, high neck-
line and long full sleeves. The col-
lar, bodice, skirt and cuffs were
accented with French lace and a
long full cathedral train was
attached. A rosebud cluster
headpiece of silk and velvet held
her chapel -length veil and she
carried a cascade bouquet of
three white gardenias and fern.
Miss Bernardine O'Malley, sis-
ter of the bride, of Teeswater,
was maid of honor and brides-
maids were the groom's sister,
Miss Janis Ohm of Wingham and
Miss Mary King, cousin of the
bride, of Teeswater. They were
gowned alike in long full skirts of
winter seersucker in navy, rose,
green, yellow and white plaid;
white fitted blouses of polyester
crepe .with rolled turtleneck col-
lars, flip ties with pearl lie tacks,
long full sleeves and deep cuffs.
To .complete their ensembles,
they wore Grecian crocheted
shawls in deep rose and carried
three rose carnations with white
bows and sashes.
Edward Ross of Kitchener was
groomsman and guests were
ushered by brothers of•the bridal
couple, Jackie Ohm of Wingham
and Francis O'Malley of Kitch-
ener. All male attendants wore
tuxedos.
A reception followed in the For-
_ rnosas Community Centre where
dinner was served smorgasbord
style and Moran's Band supplied
music. A three -tiered wedding
cake centred the head table, rose
candles at each end and the
bridal bouquets also adorned the
Honor parents on
25th anniversary
The family of Mr. and Mrs.
Doug Aitchison honored their
parents with a surprise party to
celebrate their 25th wedding
anniversary last Saturday eve-
ning. About 60- relatives and
friends gathered at the IOOF
' Hall, Josephine Street, where
card games were enjoyed. Pres-
entation of lovely gifts was fol-
lowed by lunch and a . social time.
Ada Nickel and Douglas Aitchi-
son were married at her home in
Belmore on November 15, 1947.
They have since resided in Wing -
ham. There is a family of three,
Larry, Linda and Paul.
Three sisters and two brothers
and their families attended: Mrs.
S. Aitken, Mrs. R. Sewers, Mrs.
R. Ferguson, Carl Nickel and
George Nickel. Mrs. Ferguson
and Aylmer Aitchison were the
attendants at the wedding.
Guests were present from To-
ronto, Blyth, Belmore, die,
Lucknow, London, Teeswater,
Kincardine. and Wingham.
Honored guests were the Misses
Farrrell of Clifford.

presented an interesting and
varied program. Those in charge
of the program were Mr. and
Mrs. E. Nichol, Mrs. D. S. Mac -
Naughton, Mrs. Uldene MacKen-
zie, Mrs. Alice Newton and Mrs.
Pennington: All enjoyed a sing-
song of old favorites, "Pack up
Your Troubles", "I Want a Girl",
"Let the Rest of the World Go
By" and "Old Black Joe".
Miss Lavonne Ballagh gave a
humorous skit and a reading.
John Donaldson and Gordon Leg-
gatt sang sacred duets and Bobby
McTavish entertained with some
bagpipe selections. Rev. Robert
Armstrong gave a timely mes-
sage on the theme of Remem-
brance Day and memories of the
wars.
Mr. E. Nichol favored with
some mouth organ selections,
while lunch was being prepared,
bringing a very enjoyable eve-
ning to a close.
Se or Citizens of Wingharb-4as
held in the council chambers on
Tuesday night of last week. The
vice president, Mrs. Olive Lewis,
chaired the meeting.
The meeting .opened with the
Lord's Prayer, The Queen, and
the theme song. The minutes
were read and the hostesses for
the December meeting are Mrs.
Laura Galbraith, Mrs. Laura
Gowdy,. Mr.,Elsie Gardner, Mrs.
Reta Haselgrove and Miss Cora
Gannett. It was suggested that
there be a special Christmas pro-
gram with Christmas music.
Mrs. Lewis asked for help to
finish the banner and several vol-
unteered.
Mr. Sorril spoke on the neces-
sity for a sheltered workshop for.
retarded adults in the, community
arid a committee was appointed
td meet and discuss the possi-
bilities of the, Senior Citizens
sponsoring such an organization
and making use of the grants

sage of three deep rose carna-
tions, The groom's mother chose
a floor -length gown of deep rose
cashmere crimp in empire style.
Her corsage was three white car-
nations.
Foravelling to Niagara Falls
and through the northeastern
states to Cleveland, Ohio, the
bride changed to a red doubleknit
dress trimmed with black smock-
ing, a red coat trifnmed with
plaid, black accessories and a
corsage of white roses. On their
return they will reside in Wing -
ham.
The bride is a graduate of F. E.
Madill Secondary School, Wing -
ham.
Guests attended the wedding
from Lucknow, Bluevale, Kitch-
ener, Hamilton, Kingston, Brus-
sels, Dungannon, Molesworth,
Kingsville, Preston, Teeswater
and Wingham. Honored guests
were the groom's grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ohm Sr. of
Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. J. J.
Elliott of Bluevale; and the
bride's grandmother, Mrs. John '"
Moir of Wingham. Altar `boys:,:
were cousins of the bride, Kevin
-brand Larry O'Malley.
UCW donate
to CAS work
DONNYBROOK -- The No-
vember meeting of the United
Church Women was held last
Tuesday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. Ernest Snowden with a good
attendance. Mrs. Stuart "Cham-
ney and Mrs. Edward Robinson
were in charge and opened with
the hymn, "Mine Eyes Have Seen
the Glory". Psalm 128 was -ead
responsively. Mrs. Robinsontret
the scripture. Mrs. Chamney led
• in prayer and Mrs. Robinson
gave the meditation,
Mrs. Wesley Jefferson took
charge of the business. Mrs.
,Chamney read the minutes and
the offering was received. It was
decided to order the study packet
on India. Condition of the church
roof was discussed.
A congregational dinner was
suggested for a later date.
Mrs. Chamney introduced the
guest speaker, Mrs. Norma Jeff-
ery from the Children's Aid So-
ciety in Goderich. She explained
their work and also ways to help
with their needs. She was thank-
edand presented with a donation.
Mrs. Chamney closed the
meeting with the benediction and
lunch was served by the hostess,
assisted by Mrs. Hilliard Jeffer-
son and Mrs. Robert Jefferson.
Prior to her marriage the bride
was honored at showers given by
Mary King and Elizabeth Calla-
han at " Teeswater; Janis Ohm,
Kim Mellor and Joan Currie at
Wingham; Teresa O'Malley and
Bernadette Kieffer at Teeswater.
—Nine senior members of the
Wingham Deb -U -Tons baton
twirling class took part in the
Clinton Talent Show on Saturday
evening and won . honors in two
divisions. Miss Lori Biggin was a
prize winner in the solo class and
the . group received honorable
mention and a cash prize with
which they intend •to purehase a
• trophy..Leader of the group is
Mrs. Patti Robertson.
MR. AND MRS. WAYNE KREGAR are residing in Wing -
ham following their marriage Friday, November 3, in the
Wingham United Church. The bride is the former Jackie
Goldrich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hendrick Bos of RR 2,

Four baskets of white daisies
formed the setting for the after-
noon wedding of Susan Louise
Wilson and Terrence Eugene. La-
framboise in St. George's Angli-
can Church; Goderich, on Satur-
day, November 18.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Len Wilson off Fordwich and
the late Mr: Wilson. Parents of
the groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Laframboise.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her brother-in-law, John
Dunbar. She chose a white velvet
gown with • sweetheart neckline
and princess . style sleeves Ut:
waist rength veil was held b� -`
piniiiVitiations and she cam
spray 'of pink carnations ac=
cented with a white gardenia.
Matron of honor was Mrs. San-
dra McWhinny and bridesmaid
was Miss Susan Laframboise.
Both are sisters of the groom.
They were dressed alike in pink
velvet gowns with sweetheart
necklines.They carried sprays of
white daisies.
Tom Laframboise was best
man and Peter Nagler was
groomsman. Ushers were Mur-
ray Wilson, brother of the bride,
and Ronnie Laframboise,brother
of the "groom.. The' traditional
wedding march was played dur-
ing :the ceremony.
Following the wedding a dinner
was held in the Bedford hotel,,

at the Maitland Golf and Country
Club.

bodice of shocking pink frosted
brocade. Her corsage was pink
roses. The groom's mother chose
afloor-length turquoise and white
gown accented with a corsage of
turtluoise baby roses.

into satisfying main course dish-

over tea biscuits, toast, patty
shells, waffles, pancakes or

cooked sliced, diced or mashed
vegetable can add an infinite va-
riety of flavor combinations- as
well.

Calvin -Brick UCW meets
WHITECHURCH -- Calvin -
Brick UCW held their meeting
Nov. 15 at the home of Mrs. John
L. Currie with 11 in attendance.
Mrs. Chandler gave the call to
worship. The scripture was read
by Mrs. Ronald Coultes.
Prayer was offered by Mrs.
Chandler. Mrs. Roy Dawson gave
the mission study on India from
an article in Chatelaine maga-
zine.
The president, Mrs. Richard
Moore, presided for the business.
A church supper is for be held at
Belgrave United Church in
December. A concert will also be
held that evening.
The collection was received
and dedicated. by Mrs. Chandler
and the meeting closed with the
Mlzpah benediction. Mrs. Currie
served lunch.
