folk Song Club
The Folk. Song Club has 22
members. This is a really great
improvement over last year's
nine members. They are going to
buy recorders, sticks and blocks.
Hopefully they will be putting
no a presentation before Christ-
mas exams. (Exams start middle
of December.) They hope to play
for groups like YACMR (Yotith
Across Canada for the Mentally
Retarded) .
.In the spring the club is going to
try and bring in a couple of girls
who play folk music on campuses
for students and maybe an eve-
ning program.

Cub' News
By Chris )Forton
Hello again! Here we are back
at another Cub meeting.
It started off with a Grand
Howl led by Akela Kaa, (M.
Heim). Due to the shortage of
leaders, which couldn`t be
avoided, yours truly helped with
the games. The first was "Borden
Ball" and a wonderful time was
had by all. Then the next game
was '`Juni ; the Bean Bag", and it
went' fiver' pretty° big with The
boys.
. Finally all was settled down by
Akela Kaa who gave Scott Mc-
Gregor his athletic badge.. Three
boys were invested this week.
They were Doug Hogg, Brian Ste.
Marie and Tommy Remington.
After the boys were invested,
•
the Grand Howl was repeated for
'the benefit of the other boys and
the meeting was closed, Jttth the
Cub Prayer.
See you next week, Cubs!
BLUEVALE
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kieffer of

Reinhart Schreiter and Mr. Sch-
reiter of Port Colborne.
Twenty-three days until Fri-
. day, December 15, when exams
start. We, were all duly warned -
last week when the progress re-
ports came out. Each man (girl,)
for himself.

Reactions to Mr. Weinstein's
art display in the school last week
were many and varied. Though
most of us are quite unable to
really appreciate his prints, it
was a kindly gesture enhis part ,
to give us the opportunity to see
them.

There have been other art dis-
plays in the school in recent
weeks, those of Mrs. Wilson's art
classes. We really •have enjoyed
them immensely and there 'has
been quite a stir of interest over .
