Mrs. Donald MacAdam of RR 2 Wingham received a Leader- ship Award for having led 4-H Homemaking clubs for five years. Making the presentations and acting as chairman for the pro - v. Honors gram was Catherine Hunt, home economist for Perth County. Mrs. S. McAllister, home economist for Zurich, and Mrs. R. Axtmann, home economist for Walton, com- mented on exhibits and skits pre- sented by club members. It was announced that the pro- ject for the spring of 1973 will be "Sportswear from Knits". BLUEVALE Robert Master of Hamilton and his mother, Almetta Master of Grimsby, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hall on Sunday. Visitors with Mrs. R. H. Mc- Kinnon at the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. John K. MacTavish of Brantford and John R. Mac- Tavish and Miss Cathy Woods of „Kitchener and Mr. and Mrs. H. Spence McKinnon, David and Joan of Grimsby. Wroxeter Persor. Mrs. Merle Beainish (nee Gil- pin)` of. Viking; Alta., and Mrs. Irving Toner of Gorrie visited on Wednesday with Mrs. Art Gibson. T. H. Gibson, Winnipeg and Alex Gibson, Toronto, were re- cent guests with their cousins, Misses Elsie and Marion Gibson. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Clark spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Mur- ray MacFarlane and Scott of Bluevale. Service held Satw'day FORDWICH — Remembrance Day service was held Saturday morning at the United Church with Howick Legion 307, Ladies Auxiliary, members of council, Brownies and Cubs and their leaders in attendance. Rev. C. K. Forest, Fordwich United Church, Rev: G. W.- Sach, Gorrie United and Rev. Percy Dodd, Anglican Churches of Gorrie and Fordwich assisted in the service. The choir rendered the anthem, "The Lights , of Home". At the conclusion of the service, all pro- ceeded to the cenotaph where Rev. Forrest led in prayer and George Inglis of the Legion read the names of fallen comrades of the two world wars. Wreaths were laid from the Province of Ontario, Howick Township, Le- gion Branch 307, Ladies' Aux- iliary and wreaths in memory of Jack Newton, Alex Graham and Harvey Sutton by members of their families. ' This was followed by a short service at the cenotaph. at Wroxe- ter with the Legion chaplain in charge. Later in the evening a dinner was held at the United Church in Fordwich, served by the after- noon unit of the tJCW and a social evening was held in the L• egiora rooms at Gorrie. BLUEVALE Ivan Haugh of Turnberry, visited Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Haugh and Eileen on Sunday. • Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wheeler of Wingham, visited Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Elliott on Sunday.
