The first question you're going to ask is, what is it? The second. How is it going to simplify my life? • O.K., to answerthe first part. In any con- ventional ignition system the . mechanical breaker points may be cause of some problems. Inowing this, Chrysler engineers: developed a solittadte .e[ t c i` — P. system (all 6 & 8 cyl. engines) that eliminates the need for breaker points and condenser, and their resulting maintenance headaches. That essentially, is what the new system is. Now for what it can do for your car and your wallet. For starters your car is going to start better at mileage levels when mechanical systems normally start to deteriorate. And because engine misfiring at high- way speeds is vi ally eliminated exhaust emissions are : eatly reduced. what will it mean to youyr pocketbook? are no points to wear out, no condenser to replace, the cost of tune-ups drops considerably. The new electronic ignition system is just one of the many standard features built into -Dodge. The occa- sion was the annual' observance of • Harvest Thanksgiving. The . church was colorfully' decorated with fruits, vegetables and grain, symbolic of God's bounty at har- vest time. Opening his address, the guest speaker I referred to the well- known painting by the French ar- tist Millet, titled "The Angelus". A man and woman are depicted with heads ,bowed as they pause at their work in a potato field. The painting, said the speaker, is ' a reminder that although man plants and reaps, it is God who provides the miracle of growth.. Man has to have implicit faith in God as he labors either with his hands or with modern. farming machinery. • Ip Another famous painting shows nl pair of work -worn hands clasped in prayer -symbolic of the dependence of man upon God forthe fruits of human labor. Rev. Parke -Taylor asked whether thanksgiving finds ex- pression often enough in our lives, and enumerated many of the blessings we take for gran- ted— friends and loved ones, health, work we enjoy. He said that many of. us have a blind spot in our spiritual vision when it comes to giving thanks. Instead we worry and fret. The speaker said that there are many occa- sions for thanksgiving, even when one is stricken with illness or bereavement, if we are willing to search for the loving kindness of a concerned.Creator. Special music was provided by the junior choir with Carol Hig- gins at the church organ. They sang "Thank You". Mrs. Harry Brydges, regular organist led the senior choir in the anthem "With My Whole Heart". The rector of St. Paul's, Rev. T. K. Hawthorn, conducted the ser- vice.
