her son in-law, Mr, and Mrs.
John Lepptngtpn of RR 1, Corrie,
was 99 on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
Although suffering a broken hip
in a fall two years'ago, Mrs. Wat-
tere, a resident of 'Fordwich for
many years, now enjoys fairly
good health, remains excep-
tionally active and has .a wonder-
ful memory..
She is a ,member of the Ladies
Orange Lodge and of Trinity An-
glican Church.
Besides her son Fulton and her
daughter Helen, she has two
other daughters, Mrs. Cliff
Denny of Listowel and Mrs. Har-
vefDenny of the Town Line; 12
grandchildren and 18 great-
grandchildren.

where the groom has been posted
for two years.
BELGRAVE II CLUB
The Belgrave II girls held a
picnic in Riverside Park, Wing -
ham. After the meeting a short
meeting was held at the 'home of
Marilyn Robertson where. a dis-
cussion was held on patio parties,
barbecues and picnics.
The next meeting will be.held
at the home of. Lori Thompson.

BELGRAVE — On Friday eve-
, ning a dinnerand dance was held.
in the Moorefield Community
Centre in honor of Mr. and Mrs.
Harmon Mitchell of Rothsay, who
observed their 50th wedding
anniversary on September 12th.
An open hoose at their home
was also held on Sunday at which
Mrs. Robert Coultes, Belgrave
and Mrs. Norman Keating of
Wingham poured tea.
On September 12; 1922 Mr. and
Mrs. Mitchell were married at
the home of her parents, the late
Mr. and Mrs. John Coultes in
Morris Township, by the late

Rev. C. Jones. Mr. Mitchell is the
son of the late.Mr. and Mrs. Wil-.
liam Mitchell of Maryboro Town-
ship. After their marriage they
farmed in Maryboro for several
years and are now residing in
Rothsay.
Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell have five
children; Ken of Snelgrave;
(Ruth) Mrs. Don Conway of
Washington, U.S.A.; (Norah)
Mrs. Lorne Doig and Jack both of
Maryboro Township and Dale of
'Scarborough. There are 22
grandchildren. Mrs. Mitchell has
one sister, Mrs. Cela Keating of
• Wingham .and one iibrother, Mr.
Robert Coultes of Belgrave.
HILDA THALEN of Blyth with her pony "Trigger" was one
of hundreds of youngsters who enjoyed the annual Belgrave
School Fair last week. Entries were up in nearly all sec-
tions, although attendance was down owing to threatening
weather, according to fair secretary, Mrs. John Gnay.

Jennie Mosure reaches 100
NL s. Jennie Mosure, a resident
at the Fordwich Village Nursing
Home, celebrates her 100th birth-
day on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Born ,in Wales, Mrs, Mosure
came to Canada 'when she was a
child of seven. She resided in
Fordwich for many years before
becoming the first resident of the
Fordwich nursing home. •
She has been a member of :the
Ladies Orange Lodge for over 60
years. Although her hearing and
eyesight are failing, Mrs: Mosure
still enjoys visitors and getting
out for an automobile ride.
