The realization that building a
house frrom scratch on a vacant
lot is really 'the hard ways' is bey
ginning to dawn in Vanada. The
obvious advantage of Wilding a

better" you might hear ;flails
Kuyvenhoveit of Wingham say.
Although the trend to factory-
built ho8nea in Canada has lagged
for years .behind the °major sue=
cesses in theunited States and
some Etfropean' countries, the
faet that Canadians are finally
catching on .is very important to
Hans, and a dozen Wingham
Men. This is because Hans is the
president of Royal Homes Limit-
ed of Wingham, which is very
p 6
much into the business of build-
ing homes in a factory, and the
dozen Men are the artisans em-
ployed there.
- All being -.well, and withi a fuU
order book, there could be two
dozen . men keenly interested in
this trend in the near future, as
the existing plant could accom-
modate that many more workers
if the orders come through.
Early Start
For Hans Kuyvenhoven, the
house building story actually
started years ago ing Bo444.
when, as a lad of 13, he was so-
rolled
emsrolled in a technical SChf)01a4 an
apprentice. He .has continued h
interest and study in, the bliikhng
trades ever since. On Arrivalt,in
Port Credit, Ont., in 4904 he wog
into the business of custom 'build-
ing of homes And cho. l
n ¢ ,and
with a great deal of stuciy and
experience behind him, came to
Wingham In December of 1970
with the factory -built home idea
firmly in mind, -
What has been done with that
idea since 1970 will be plainly
visible to residents of Wingham
and area, this Fliday •when a
model home built at the local'fsc-
tory, will be open for inspection
on Highway 4 just south of Wing -
ham across from win$iaam Mo-
tel, Detailed announcement is
made in this issue of this news-
paper.
Another example of factory -
built housing is being completed
by company. salesman Willie Mc-
Lellan on the Brussels Road.
Chesley Project
The residents of Chesley, es-
pecially the senior citizens, are
enthusiastic about products of the
HIGHEST QUALITY in materials ista feature of Royal Homes construction with kiln -
dried lumber being used in the factory -built walls and floors: Here Hans Kuyvenhoven,

Wingham factory. Senior cities
of Chesley are this week moving
into a fine new 15 -unit building

in the Wingham factory and
transported to the site for corn

When a superior three-bed-

sharp pencils come out.
