Personals Carl Bender and friend Mrs. Esther Galbraith of Owen Sound accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bender of Fordwich re- cently returned from a three- week motor trip to Victoria, B.C., and other western points where they visited relatives.. They re- turned by way of Cochrane and a train trip to Moosonee. Mr. and Mrs. Roy McDougall attended the Dundalk fair on Sat- urday. Quite a number from the vicinity attended the Steam En- gine Parade at Blyth on Satur- day. Miss Sherrin Miller of Listowel spent the weekend with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Stinson spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Richards in London and attended the Western Fair. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Miller, Lori and Grant visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Stickney near Elmira. Bill Richards spent a few days last week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mra. Austin Stinson, then left over the weekend to commence his studies at The University of Western Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce- Fletcher of Toronto spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stewart, Doug and Greg attended the C ates reunion Sunday in Listo- el. Miss Violet Beswetherick spent /a few days last week in London CANADIAN IMPERIAL. Mr. and Mrs. Clare Harris, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Les Watkins of Bolton and John Harris of Newmarket were guests Saturday at the Keil -Reid wedding in Trinity Lutheran Church, Kurtzville, and later attended the reception at the golf club, Wingham. Cliff Budd is confined to Listo- wel Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lepping- ton of Flesherton spent the week- end at their home here. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moore at- tended the Denny reunion Sunday at Riverside Park, Preston. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Allan, Miss Sandra Allan, Floyd and Arnold Allan were guests Saturday eve- ning at the McEachern-Goulding wedding in Arthur. Mr' and Mrs. Brian Allan of Goderich also attended. Mrs. Cecil Beswetherick of Kirkland Lake and Mrs. Eileen Weser--ate-Farewell visited one day recently with Misses Violet and Lenora Beswetherick. Mr. and Mrs. Joe McGinnis and family attended the Western Fair in London on Saturday. Glenn Johnston, Mrs. Jack Ruttan and Master Gary Douglas attended the fair in Beamsville on Saturday. Clarkson and Mrs. Harris, The feature, "The Bringer of Life", was given by Mrs. William Wilson. • Mrs. Ben Gibson, presi= dent, presided for the business period with Mrs. Crosby Sotheran acting as secretary. The roll call was answered by `Summer Highlights". The UCW entry in the fairl'iro- ject. "A Nursery Rhyme" was discussed. The committee in charge of this project is Mrs. Ben Gibson, Mrs. Clare Harris, Mrs. Jim Timperley..and Mrs. Bruce Agla.
