Under the watchful eye of umpire Emerson Hickey the score was 45-15 in favor of Wroxeter Cuties. The Whitechurch Intermediate team with Joe Tiffin as manager, played Clifford Intermediates in an OASA playoff game at Clifford on Thursday evening. The score was 10-0 in favor of Whitechurch. Rickey Hand and friends, George Goettler and Terry Roche, all of Palmerston, on Wednesday hitch -hiked here and visited with f ickey's sister, Mrs. Emerson Hickey, Mr. Hickey and family and hiked back that eve- ning. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Chisolm, Mil- ton; Mr. aand Mrs. Norman Langdon, Lowville; Rat Thom- son, Lucknow, and Mr. and Mrs. Rae Berg of Tavistock. Mrs. Berg is a member of Athlone WI where Whitechurch visited June 15. Holiday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn were Alma Conn of Toronto andl.Vlr. and Mrs. Herb Hunter and Trevor of Lon- don. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Coultes while on holidays ,visited with their son, Jack, Mrs. Coultes and family at Oakville from Monday to Wednesday. They spent the weekend with their daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Schwichtenberg, Mr. Schwichtenberg and family of Port Elgin: Mrs. Edith Brown of London • spent the holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans and ton Sunday all visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Evans and family at Georgetown and went to see the new house Ted is build - mg. Mrs. Annie McQuillin on Fri- day was moved from Brookhaven Nursing Home to Wingham and District Hospital. 11r. and Mrs. Victor Emerson were Tuesday visitors with Miss Lila Emerson. . Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wybenga and John arrived at Toronto. In- ternational Airport on Friday after a month's visit with their parents in Holland. On Saturday they arrived here, accompanied by Kathy and Clarence, who had been visiting with relatives, and their daughter Rudi of Bowman- ville and son Henry of the same town. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hopkins of Hanover were Thursday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Vie Emerson. Mrs. Emerson 'and Mrs. Ben McClenaghan had spent the night at their home while attending Grey -Bruce Area Con- vention in Hanover last fall. Mr.'and Mrs. Gershom Johns- ton, Wingham, were ac- companied on a fishing trip to Orillia vicinity by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnston and family of St. Pauls. Visitors on the weekend with Mrs. Bessie Mullis and Wilford Clipperton were Mr. and Mrs. Neil Faw, Robert Mullis and Karen Wilson of Thorndale. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Wal- ter Moore and family' were at Wroxeter to take part in the soft- ball reunion of teams from 1950- Wroxeter Rockets who played the Stone School team with a score of 22-16 in favor of the Rockets. The Wroxeter girls' team, the Cuties, managed by George Hamilton, and the Gorrie Sweety Pies, managed .by Dave Neilson, played with the Wroxeter team winners. A game with White- church - girls' team is being arranged for Wednesday evening to play one of the teams here. Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Sim- mons and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Long of London were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Durnin. Holiday visitors last week with Mr. andMrs. Tom Morrison were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hughes of Kingston, Mrs. Norma Taylor of Windsor, Mrs. Eva Cameron, Bsantford, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Davis and Dana of Windsor. Kenneth Morrison of Elk Point, Alberta, recently enjoyed a trip to British Columbia. • Mr. and Mrs. Jim Morrison of Lucknow are on holidays and spent a few days at Manitoulin Is- land.
