Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chettle-
burgh of Wingham are the pa-
rents of the bride and the groom
is the son of Mrs. Marionno Ma-
chado of London.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride wore a floor -length
gown of swiss eyelet lace. The
bodice with empire waistline,
was accented by a high standup
collar and full wrist -length Juliet
sleeves. The lovely gathered skirt
formed its own overskirt of the
eyelet lace. To complete her en-
semble the bride wore a Juliet
cap of swiss eyelet lace from
which fell a cathedral length veil
trimmed with the same eyelet
lace. Her cascade bouquet was
pink shaded carnations and
roses. .
Maid of honor for her sister
was Miss Esther Chettleburgh of
Wingham and bridesmaids were
Luanne Rich and Josie Willie
both of Kitchener, Maria Pimen-
tal and Maria Machado both of
London. They were gowned alike
in floor -length gowns of pink cry
stalette trimmed with white rose
lace. They carried ball bouquets
of pink and white 'carnations.
Flower girl Elizabeth Pacheco
of London was gowned similarly
to the senior attendants.
John Pacheco of London was
groomsman and guests were ush-
ered by Mario Machado, Joe Pi -
mental and John Machado all' of'
London and Kenneth Chettle-
burgh of Sault Ste. Marie. Ring -

ham and a' Registered Nursing
Assistants' course in London.
Out-of-town guests were from
London, Toronto, Detroit, Kit-
chener, Brantford and Sault Ste.
Marie. An honored guest was the
bride's maternal grandmother,
Mrs. Alice Wilson of Wingham.

zentruber, daughter of Mr.

of 62 students who graduated
from the Perth -Huron Re-

cises took'place Friday, July
28th, at the Cen4ral United
Church in Stratford. Miss
Schwartzentruber was
awarded the Gold Medal for
first place honors in clinical
nursing. "Barbara, who is a

will be on the nursing 'staff in
the intensive care unit at the
Stratford General Hospital.

Church on Saturday, July 15, for
the marriage of James Roy Alex,
ander Laing and Marilyn Ruth
Keys.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
anti Mrs. Bruce Keys of Varna,
and the groom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. John Laing of Missis-
sauga.
Rev. M. Morrison, Varna and
Rev. Don Beck, Hensall, officiat-
ed for the double ring ceremony.
Organist, Mrs. Berne McKin-
ley, Zurich accompanied the
soloist, Mrs. Goron Cerson, an
aunt of the groom of Teeswater.
She sang, "The Wedding Prayer"
and "Walk `Hand in Hand".
Given in marriage by her fath-
er.the bride wore a long gown of
nylon organza over taffeta in Vic-
torian style. The skirt was trim-
med with bands of clung lace and
a ruffled hem. Her head piece
and long veil were trimmed with
the same lace. She carried a bou-
quet of white carnations,
stephanotis and baby's breath.
Miss Barbara Ann Keys of
Varga was her sister's maid of
honor. She wore a long gown of
blue and mauve floral crepe -de -
chine, featuring a high waistline,
ruffled hem and short flared
. sleeves. The dress was trimmed
with a mauve belt and she wore
matching -mauve bows in her
hair. She carried a nosegay of

lagh, Catherine Street, and Mrs.
William Giles of Lambeth spent a
week recently in Guelph where

home after spending a month in
the British Isles. They 'spent a
few days in London, England,
then travelled to Paisley, Scot-
land, -where _they---made---they€ --
headquarters. They also visited
several other places in Scotland.
—Mrs. Morris Swanson at-
tended the funeral service held on
Friday in Hanover for Harold
Nelson, who passed away earlier
in the week. Mrs. Swanson's son-
in-law, Graham, is a son of Mr.
Nelson. ,
—Mr. and Mrs. Barry Fuller
and family of Toronto spent the
weekend at the Ferguson Riley
home and left Sunday for Lion's
Head, where they will visit Mr.
and Mrs: Herb Fuller.
—David Bennett returned
home Sunday after spending two
weeks at the Sundridge hockey
,,camp. While there the 90 boys at
the camp received special hockey
training from professional
players, including Jim Watson
and Jim Lorenz, amateur players
and Al Murdock, coach from Ohio
University. The boys also .` en-
joyed water sports, horseback
riding, camping, football, base-
ball and golf. Russell Jones was
another Wingham lad in attend-
ance but only for the last week of
the school.
".Playhouse"
is seeking
local tiilent.
Auditions will be held on Satur-
day, August 19 for—local actors
and actresses who are interested
in playing in the Huron County
Playhouse presentation: "Dirty
Work "at the Crossroads".
A number of people are needed
to join the professional company
in the old-fashioned melodrama.

held in the Zurich Community

with fern, white gladioli and
mauve mums:
The bride's mother chose a
long gown of pale blue nylon
sheer over taffeta. If featured
long full sieves, embroidered
bodice and blue satin trim. She
wore a white orchid corsage. The
groom's mother wore a long
syeeveTess gown of periwinkle
blue matte jersey with long fitted
sleeves. It featured a rolled collar
with gold buckle matching the
cummerbund on the dress. She
wore an orchid wrist corsage.

sity of Toronto and the bride is a
1971 graduate of Victoria Hos- tto,
pita', London, and is employed at
the Missisauga Hospital. - -
Prior to her marriage, the
bride 'was honored at a Com -
=nit + shower in Goshen United
Church; Mrs: Gordon Hill, the
bride's aunt, held a kitchen
shower for relatives. Marilyn
also received gifts from the staff
of the 5th floor west at Victoria
Hospital and the 4-H Club of
Varna.

grandparents, Mi . and Mrs. Mor-
ris Swanson ,of - Wingham, were

MRS. WENDELL STAMPER of Bluevale II 4-H girls club ,
sampled a delicious cheese fondue'made at the Salvation
Army Citadel here Monday afternoon. It was the end of a
training session for club leaders conducted by Miss Cather-
