Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Beecroft ATigela of Exeter spent the week-
end with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. E. W. Beecroft and Karen.
Saddle club members from
Lucknow were riding in the
• vicinity in Wawanosh on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. John L. Currie
were at Guelph Saturday evening
at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Westmin-
ster Church to attend the wedding
of his niece, Sharon Deacon. The
reception was held 'at the Cana-
dian German Club where dinner
was,. served smorgasbord style.
Mr. and Mrs. John L. Currie on
Sunday attended the rodeo at
Exeter.
David Bean and Miss Barbara
Lyon , of Brampton spent the
weekend with Mr; and Mrs. Cliff
Laidlaw. . •
On Friday Mr. and Mrs. Percy
Williamson of Port Huron visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Russel Chap-
man and Mr. and Mrs. Elwood
Groskorth.
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Duncan of
Port Credit and Elwin Moore of
Ottawa spent the holiday week-
end with their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Millan Moore. Mr. and Mrs.
Duncan are building a house on
the farm on the south side of the
road and doing the work them-
selves when on holidays.
Miss Joyce Tiffin of London,
Miss ,Irene de Boer of Stratford
spent the weekend at their homes
here.
,Miss Darlene Simpson of To-
ronto spent the holiday weekend
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Hugh Simpson and family.'
Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Sleight -
holm of Toronto moved on Satur-
day to Ailsa Craig and spent the
weekend with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Sleightholm.

resumed work at the Canadian
Imperial Bank of Commerce
after a two-week holiday.

wedding anniversary.

can visited on Sunday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Me-

Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Farrier
and Mrs. Eunice Gillespie visited
on Friday with Mrs. Barbour of
Hillsburg, where little Kimberley
Farrier visited while her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fa`r'rier,
toured the East Coast. Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Farrier returned
from the tour on the weekend.
Rev. and Mrs. Clarence Mc-
Clenaghan of Dungannon` visited
on Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs.
Ben McClenaghan and Mr. and
Mrs. Carl McClenaghan.
Henry Wybenga of Bowman-
ville spent the holiday weekend at
the manse with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Victor Wybenga. On the
return trip he was accompanied
to Bowmanville by his cousin,
Freddie Wybenga, who had spent
a three-week holiday here ,with
his cousins, Clarence and John
Wybenga. .
Mrs. Bill Evans, was permitted
to return'. home gn Saturday at.
noon from Wihaxn and District
Hospital and to have all her
family with thein to celebrate
their 50th wedding anniversary.
Kenneth Purvis, Mrs. Irwin
and Mrs. Bolt of Mitchell, and
Miss Marjorie Purvis of London
were Sunday visitors with their
cousin, Miss Annie Kennedy of
Wingham.

Lorne. Durnin's brot r, Robert,:,
is a patient in Wingh m and Dis-
trict Hospital and that his grand-
son, Stephen Durnin, of St.
Helens is, also a hospital patient.
Spending the weekend with Mr.

Barrie and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Campbell of Listowel.
Mr. and Mrs, Russel Proctor of
Livonia and their son, Dave
Proctor, spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin, Russel
Ritchie, Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Emerson and Mrs. Gertie Tiffin
of Wingham.
WINGHAM PUC WORKMEN were busy last week trimming some of the trees on Patrick
Street now under reconstruction by Dempsey Construction of Guelph. The two -block pro-
