Today, on the Huron shore in Bruce Town- ship, the second largest commu- nity, next to Tiverton, is Wood- land Court, a subdivision for mo- bile homes,, containing 52, such homes which he has sold.' • That man is Al Cormier,. head of the firm Cormier Homes Limi- ted of Tiverton and Bluevale. The latter place came into the picture over the holiday 'weekend when the firm's new mobile home sales lot was .officially opened. Located just south east of the junction of Highways 86 and 87, the large lot accommodates the home of lot manager Dave Baze- ley, (it was moved there, • of course) son-in-law of Mr. Cor- mier; as well as an extensive dis- play of mobile homes ranging from 46 to 65 feet long. • k The 65 -footer now on the lot was one of the first, if not the first to travel on Ontario highways since legislation Was amended at Queen's -Park last week to permit homes longer than 60 feet to travel by road. ° There is also a sample of what is known as a "double wide" or a complete home made up of two mobile units, which is con- structed so . that it may be separated and removed if need be. There is yet another "double wide" intended to stay in place as a permanent home, and not moved after being set up. This modern trend in housing attracted hundreds of visitors over the holiday weekend. Lic.
