Fordwich Personal Notes
Mr. and Mrs. Les Halliday of
Toronto spent the weekend at
their home here.
and Mrs. Don Koenig spent
a couple of days recently at Dyer
Bay.
Timmy Sothern of Palmerston
spent the weekend with his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Sothern.
Mrs. Carl Stewart, Doug and
Greg returned home Friday from
Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Arm-
strong, accompanied by Mrs.
Stewart MacNaughton of Wing -
.ham were in Tillsonburg Tues-
day, owing to the death of Ted
Harris. Mr. Harris, was well
known here. His wife was the
former Evelyn Gamble Of Ford-
wich.
Mr. and Mrs. John Welsh and
family of Winnipeg are visiting
with Mr. and Mrs. Wray Cooper
before leaving for Base Borden.

Sunday guests at the same home
were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Heuther, Sandra and Tracy, after
holidaying at Point Clarke.
Misses Elva and Edina Foster
and Jim Foster attended the fu-
neral on Thursday of Ted Harris
of Brownsville, in St. Stephen's
Church at Culloden. Robert Con-
nell, Mrs. Ruby Foster and Mrs.
D. S. MacNaughton of Wingham
also attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Upper of St.
Catharines visited for a few days
last week with Mrs. Jim Strong
and Mrs. Verna Galbraith.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim MeCaw of
Durham and Mr: and Mrs. Ernest
Dinsmore of Clifford visited Sun-
day:. with Mrs.'Jim Strong and
Mrs. Verna Galbraith.
Mr. and Mrs. George Piercey
of Elora visited Saturday\ with
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Miller.
.Rev. Harold Jenkins of Kitch-
ener spent the weekend with
friends in the village.
Mr. and Mrs. Brace Armstrong
visited Saturday with Mr. and
Mrs. Dave Schneider in Kitch-

Palmerston visited Sunday with

spending this week with relatives

Mrs. Bill Kernahan and Karrie
of Vancouver, who have been
guests of relatives in Toronto,
visited Wednesday to Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin
and Russel Ritchie. Many of the
older residents will remember
Mrs. Nettie,,Kernahan. Mrs. $ill
Kernahan, is the wife of Nettie
Kernahan's son.
The haying is a slow, tedious
task for the farmers here due to
the wet weather and the heat and
humidity making slow drying
conditions.
Charles Thomson has been em-
ployed for the last two weeks at
Canada Packers, Walkerton.
On Wednesday evening the
girls of the community played the
PeeWee softball team with a
socre 50-14 in favor of•the PeeWee
team.
