Tom Morrison of Lucknow has sold his six -acre property on Highway 86, with its driveway opposite Bill Evan's home. Mrs. Robert Mowbray last Wednesday accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Relison Falconer and family to Newmarket to attend the funeral of Barbara Mintz and her husband -to -be, who were killed in a car accident. Mr. and Mrs. Athol Purdon and Shelley of Sarnia. were ac- companied here by his mother, Mrs. A. E. Purdon. She had spent a few weeks with then and visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mowbray. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Tiffin and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mowbray attended the wedding of Kenneth Livitzer and Gayle Henderson. The reception was held at Atwood community centre, following the wedding in the Presbyterian Church, Listowel, on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Willis last week Moved from Toronto to a town house in Hanover, where he will open practice the first of August as chiropractor. During the month of July, John is looking after Dr. Hemingway's office in Listowel while the latter is on holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rintoul and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul on Saturday attended the wedding of Glen Weatherdon and Lynda Cameron at Trinity United Church, Ashfield. The dinner was '\ati 5 o'clock in the Anglican Church parish hall, Lucknow. Lynda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Ralph Cameron (Euphelnia Rintoul). Mr. and Mrs. John Rintoul of Milliken attended the Weather - don -Cameron wedding and on the weekend visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ewart MacPherson, Luck - now, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul .aid Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rin- toul. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Mc- Dougall and Harp, Caldwell of Londesboro were Sunday after- noon visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul. Chalmers COC and WMS meet- ings will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 19, in the Sunday School room with the leaders, Mrs. Russel Ross and Mrs. Victor Emerson and helpers, Mrs. Hugh Simpson and Mrs. Archie Pur - don. Roll cll is to be answered by a child of the Bible. Mrs. Al Olson and Rickey of Livonia and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson called Sunday after- noon on Mr. and Mrs. Tom MOrri- \Son. They enjoyed a Arip to see Kenneth Morrison's horse, Ginger, and her two-year and one -year-old colts on pasture. Ginger was a favorite of the vil- lage children, always allowing all to bestow their affections onPlier and willing to give them a ride on her back. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ford of Wing - ham were Sunday eveniijg visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wybenga, John, Clarence and Kathy left last Wednesday Morning for Bowmanville, where Kathy will remain with her sister, Rudy. Clarence will visit with his cousin Freddie while his parents and John spend a month with their parents in Holland. Home for the weekend were a Joanni4aidlaw of Goderich, Alma Conn of Toronto, Irene Delioer of Stratford, Janette Johnston of London and John Gibb, Walker- tOn,„ Miss Anne Weber is this week enjoying a week's holiday from work at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Wingharn. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Ross visited Sunday with their son, Jim Ross and Mark and with Mrs. Ross and daughter, born on Thursday at Kitchener hospital. The community extends con- gratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ross. Mrs. Al •Olson and son Rickey of Livonia spent the holiday week- end with Mrs. Charlie Tiffin, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson, Russ Rit- chie and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Morrison. On Monday morning Miss Gayle Rintoul commenced work at the Toronto -Dominion Bank, Wingham, and Miss Joyce Tiffin began work in London as a typist in. the office of the assistant riianager of the Bank of—Mont- real. 4 DOING THE IR PART in preparation for the strawberry festival at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Gorrie, last Wednesday were Mrs. Archie Stuernol, Mrs. Ron Bennett, Mrs. liar - old King and Mrs, Mc Newton. An excellent crowd attended despite cool weather.
