Producers of the top television
show "Bonanza" which has. been
renewed `fpr another season, have
reported that a replacement has
been named for Dan Blocker wile
played Hoss on the show and who
died last month in Hollywood. It -
won't be another player for Hoss
Cartwright; the pµblie would
never accept another man in.
Hoss' shoes. But a new member
will be added to the cast in the
person of young Tim Matheson.
This it similar to the action
taken when oldest son Adam
Cartwright (Pernell Roberts) de-
cided he wanted to leave the show
and try,a variety of things. There
could be no other Adam Cart-
wright so they added David Can-
ary as a new cast member
`Candy'. So they will try again,
introducing.a new cast member.
The Cartwright family is getting
smaller all the time. But I sup-
pose with a show that runs so
many years, they can expect to .
have a lot of changes. I hope it
works; as westerns go,. it's a good
one. But it sure won't seem like
`Bonanza' without Hoss.

And in case you thought you

looks like behind the sexy voice
that announces 'This is the CBC
Television network', here she is,
as easy on the eyes as her voice is
on the ears. She is Jan Tennant, a
former script assistant who now
hosts her own show on a Toronto
PM station in 'addition to her ' an-

Morris got her walking ticket for
supposedly `faking' an accent.
Personally, I think Morris has the ,u
ovelier voice. But they didn't ask

A word of warning to boaters
has ' been issued by Ontario
Hydro's Dr., Don Grant.
"During the last. two years
there have been three fatalities.
and six injuries as a result of boat
masts coming in contact with
overhead power lines. This
happened while taking boats in or
"Too often boaters don't bother
to look up or pay attention to
power lines or just take a chance.
The lines are needed to provide
electricity to local cottages,,,
shops or docking facilities. It's
just a matter of looking up and
looking out. This applies spe-
cially when boats are launched at
locations not 'prOperly. safe-
guarded as are marinas.
"Even a wooden mast can be
dangerous if it comes in contact
with these lines. The desire to get
on the'water and enjoy the fun of
sailing often makes people forget',
the possibility of danger."
