The Reveille and Last Post were sounded by Sgt. Mar shall of Kingston. •. Sgt. Schatte was born in New Hamburg, a sons of Mrs. G. A. Schatte of Teeswater and the late Mr. Schatte. He was educated in Wingham and was a capable musician. At the time of his death he was a Canadian Forces bands- man. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. - Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, the former -Madeline Deyell of Wingham, whom he married in Sarnia on March 8, 1947; two daughters,' Mrs. David (Janis) Marut of Sarnia and Miss.
