I promised last week to tell you
something about the perfo r r
ances you might be able to see
this summer on The 3rd Stage,
Stratford's new theatre stage
where modern and contemporary
works will be produced, some for
the first time.
Such a debut will be staged
with the opening July 19th of
"Mark", a new play by Betty
Jane Wylie, a Canadian play-
wright. `Mark' tells the storyy of a
man dying of cancer, recounts his
last days and deals with the effect
of his death on members of his
i'amily This play may not neces-
sarily be entertainment but cer-
tainly may be high drama and
much food for thought.
