BELMORE — The eighth
meeting of the Teddy Bears was
held on Monday, April 24 at the
home , of Jacinta Kieffer. The
meeting was opened with the.4-H
pledge. The minutes were read
by Gail Renwick. The roll call
was a suggestion for the club
fashion parade. Achievement
• Day, which will be held on June
10 was discussed. Lunch was
served at the close of the
meeting. •

Auxiliary met in the Orange Hall
on Saturday morning with 12 girls
present,
The. meeting Opened with
games led by Cindy Campbell.
President Ajril Me.Burney led in
the opening exercises, Sheila
Anderson had charge of the roll
call. Minutes of .the last meeting
were read by Connie Meurs. The
treasurer's report was given by
Dianne Scott.
Leaders for next week . are

service, Bonnie Walker; cleanup
girl, Cathy Walker.
Betty Meurs helped with the
worship service. Lisa Thompson
and Patsy Scott collected the
offering and the offertory prayer

The seniors worked on special
studies badges and the juniors
worked on stripe work. The sing-
song was led by Dianne Scott.
The meeting closed with a hymn
and prayer.

Scores have arrived for the
23rd annual Senior Math Contest,
sponsored by the Mathematical.
Association of America.
In, first place at F. E. Madill
'S4S. was Brian Keith ftucknow;
second, Gary Barbour of James-
town with NQrman.Ball of Ripley
and Keith Elston of Turnberry
tied for third. As well, FEMSS
ranked first . in District 22 which
consists of nine schools.
' Previously, a separate Junior
Mathematics Contest for grades 9
to 11 was tried. Phil Caskanette
took top honors, and he was first
in the entire district. Jim. Patti-
son and Jim Fairies placed next;
sixth was Gordon Wray, a Grade
9 student, son of Mr. and Mrs.
John Wray, RR 1, Wingham. Con-
gratulations to the winners!
