Two relative newcomers to the
recording industry were the
major winners of Grammy
awards when the National
Academy of Recording Arts and
Sciences presented top honors in
New York recently.
Pop singer and composer
Carole King won four awards, for
hei performance in "Tapestry";
for best album, the one bearing
the same title; for best single re-
eording "It's Too Late"..and for
best composed song "You've Got
Priend" sung by James Taylor

United Church on Sunday eve-
ning. Mrs. Stewart Tolt of London
showed her pictures of Africa,
having lived there for two years.
The Belgrave Men's Choir took
part at a special meeting of the
UCW held in Ontario Street
United Church, Clinton, on Sun-
day evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Elvey Rock,
Joanne and Jeniffer of Monkton,
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rock and
Janette of Walton, Mr. and Mrs.
Hugh Rinn attended the funeral
service on. Saturday of Miss
Rebecca Hill of Huronview, Clin-
ton, who was in her 96th year. The
funeral took place from the I. W.
Lockhart Funeral Horne, Mit-
chell.
John Rinn underwent an opera-
tion last Thursday in Victoria
Hospital, London. Mr. and Mrs.
Hugh Rinn visited with John on'
Friday. On Sunday Mrs. Keith
Rock and Janette, Walton, and
his father, Hugh Rinn visited with
him.
. Mr. and Mrs. George Bullock of
Zurich, visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Vincent on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vincent
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie
Smith of Westfield Thursday. On
Friday they visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph McCrea 'of Blyth.
'Cecil Wheeler of Fort Wayne,
Indiana, attended the funeral of
his sister, Mrs. Carrie Taylor of
Wingham. He is at present stay-
ing with his sister, Mrs. John
Andersonand. calling,

Mr. and Mrs. John Spivey,
Brenda and Barbara of Ingersoll
visited on Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Procter and Miss
Margaret Curtis, this being the
occasion of. the twins' ninth birth-
- day.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coultes
were weekend visitors with Mrs.
Russel Walker of Goderich and

also visited with Mr. Walker in
the Goderich Nursing Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Armstrong
of Thorndale spent the weekend
with Mrs. George Martin. They
also visited with his mother, Mrs.
Dave Armstrong in Wingham and
District Hospital.
