Mrs. Glenn McMichael was named as the ladies' representa- tive. Mr. and Mrs. Kieffer were named delegates to the OAAS Convention in Toronto Feb. 23 and 24. Miss Elaine Kieffer will also attend the convention as the so- ciety's Fair .Queen for 1972. The financial statement *show- ed .a balance of $2,454 with gate receipts in 1971 at $1,475. Five field. crop ' competitions are planned for the coming year. Any farmer interested in compet- ing in these is asked to contact any of the following people: Ron McMichael, Roy Wormington, Jack Ferguson, Eimer Harding, Qscar Kieffer, Ken McMichael or Hank Winkel. The fair board also plans to sponsor 4-H clubs again this year Belgrave Visitors during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Procter were Stanley Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Procter and other friends. Mr. and Mrs. Harry McGuire and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coultes were Sunday visitors with Mrs. Russel Walker of Goderich. They also visited with Mr. Walker who is a patient in the Goderich Nurs- ing Home on Nelson Street. The Belgrave Women's In- stitute meeting will be held on Tuesday; February 15 at 2 p.m. in the arena rooms with Mrs. Harold Gaunt, Huron West distrilct president as guest spea- ker. The Institute will also be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Women's Institute by Adelaide Hoodless. Mrs. Alva. Belgrave Women's Institute catered to the Belgrave Credit Union for their annual meeting in the basement of the United Church 'Lawrence,Taylor is a patient in Victoria Hospital, London, having undergone surgery, last week. and will revise the prize lists for these clubs and school entries. The retiring president, Scott Clarkson, thanked the member for their co-operation during the past two years. Fair dates were set for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6 and 7. The fair this year will be held in the park here. Service diplomas will be pre- sented this year as has been the custom. Visser home is host to young people WHITECHURCIJ — The Lang - side Young People's Society held its meeting Sunday evening at the home of Mrs. Visser. Keith Bregman read the scrip- ture and gave the meditation. Prayer was given by Don Scott. The hymn and offering prayer were led by Fred DeBoer. The topic, "Christianity in Everyday Life", was introduced by Nancy DeBoer. A very lively discussion followed with Victor Wybenga, student preacher, pre- siding. Lunch was served by Mrs. Visser.
