Huron Plowmen
to invite 1916
International
At a directors meeting of Huron
County Plowinen's Association
held in the McKillop Township
Hall at Winthrop on January 22, it
was decided to co-operate with
the local committee of the Perth
group, and hold the match on the
first day of the International
Plowing Match being held in 1972
at Sebringville.
Plans were also made to hold a
coaching day, and plowing match
in Huron the last week of August
or first week Qf SeptemOer. .
It was decided to hold draw.
on a carcass of be cut and
wrapped ready for a freezer, if a
license can be obtained
A large delegation from Huron
will attend the annual convention
of the Ontario Plowmen's Asso-
ciation at the King Edward Hotel
in Toronto on February 22, to in-
vite the Association to hold the
International in Hugon in 1976.
The delegation will include the
colour party of the Seaforth Dis-
trict High School band. For a
number of years this band has
done a great deal to promote
Huron County at plowing match-
es.
