Mowat dies in Milton John Douglas Mowat died Wed- nesday January 19 in Milton Gen- ' eral Hospital following an illness of several months. He. was In his 78th year. The late Mr. Mowat was born' at Warkworth, Ontario, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mowat. He resided in Toronto for some years but for the past 30 years lived in Milton. • In 1917 he was married to Jose- phine Hainstock. daughter 'of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Hainstock, Fordwich. Mrs. Mowat predeceased him in 'August 1970. In 1966 they cele- brated their' golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Fred • (Phyllis) Mowa, Oakville; James and Mrs'. Marti,. (Ruby ) Caputo, both of Milton and Douglas of• Huntsville; 15 grandchildren and eidht great- grandchildren. .He also leaves one brother, James of Toronto.
