The homesters had seven rinks in action, two were from Wingham and one each frctrn Wroxeter, Walton, Belmore, At- wood, Monkton, Seaforth and Exeter. The Atwood rink skipped by Tom Vickerrnan wonythe 9 a.m. draw with Brussels -entries skip- ped by Al TenPas and Doug Ra-thwell, helped respectively by Dan Pearson, Reid Hartwell and Wayne Lowe and Ron McLean, Ken Illman and Jim Patterson, taking second and third prizes. The Gordon Ward rink from Monkton was awarded the con- solation prize. The Stewart McCall rink of Walton captured the honors in the 11 a.m. draw with three wins and a plus of 15, the best record of the day. Clarence McDonald, Exeter, and Ross Witch, Brussels, were the next successful rinks. Brus- sels again carne into the limelight when the Bob Alexander rink col- lected the consolation award. The Wingham entries were skipped by Lloyd "Casey" Case - more and Bob McKague. Wing - ham gained some slight recogni- tion when Gil Shepherd, a visitor at the bonspiel, won a silver tray in a lucky draw. Q: 'What is it that can speak all the languages of the world? Following are some of the scor- ing leaders in each division. Kincardine holds the top four places in the northern group of the no% ice league. Listowel holds the first eight places in the southern group. Kincardine also holds the first four places in the northern group of tlii peewee league. Milverton holds down first spot in the south- ern group with Blyth holding sec- ond and Monkton third. Kincardine holds the firstthree places in the northern groin of the bantam league. Belgrave holds the first two in the southern group with Brussels holding third place. I•rr the midget league, Lucknow holds First and third lilaces with Kincardine holding second. Listowel still leads in the penal; t} department with a total -of 377 minutes from the four leagues comtred. Brussels holds second place -with 358, Milverton is third with 341 and Kincardine is fourth with 339. Junior Bowling . BANTAMS The Poodles are still in the lead for the Bantams; they now have 44 points. Battling it out are the next four teams, the Spaniels with 38. Beagles 37, Terriers 35 and Huskies 31. The Dachshunds have 26 points. " Brenda Foxton, with a 163 single and 257 double, was high for the girls. For the boys, it was Mark Fearnall with a 172 and a 293. SENIORS I'or the senior boys it was Paul Bennett who bowled a 230 single and a 406 double making him high man on the totem pole. Marg Mc- Laughlin rolled a 235 single and 382 double for the high girls' scores. Games over 200: Susan Hayes 201; Larry Simmons 214 and Les Tervit 219. Doubles over 350: Larry Simmons 382; Marg' Mc- Laughlin 380. The Dumptrucks have ad- vanced to first place with 42 points. But they have nothing to brag about as the Dyn.a►nites are right on their tails with 41. The Slackers have 37; Superstars and Gunkies tied at 26 and the Skidders have 23. (Their score was 23 last week, too, though mis- takenly given as 27 in last week's edition. } Weekly euchre BELGRAVE — Fifteen tables of euchre were played at the Bel - grave community rooms last Wednesday evening.
