Mrs. George Young of Langside
spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Lovit and family of London.
assisting them in moving to
another home.
Langside YPS cancelled their
Sunday night meeting which was
to be held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Victor Wybenga, because of
icy back roads.
Miss Alma Conn of Guelph Uni-
versity spent the weekend with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Wallace Conn.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Craig and
- Lana spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs, Carman Machan of
Waterloo.
Mrs. Dorothy Procter and Don-
ald of MorrisTownship were Sun-
day visitors with Mr. 'and Mrs.
Tom Jamieson.
Visitgrs with Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Tif-fin on Sunday were
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Purdon. Mr and
Mrs. Hugh MacMillan and family
of Watford called at the same
home after visiting with his
mother, Mrs. -R MacMillan in
Wingharn and District Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher
spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Fisher and family of
Guelph.
David Adams, w,ho is taking a
.corse at Fanshawe College,
London, spent the weekend with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Adams.
Miss Janette Johnston of Lon-
don spent the weekend with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark
Johnston.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wybenga
were in Lucknow Sunday .after-
noon where Mir Wybenga had
_charge of the service at the
Christian Refornle&Church.
Mrs. Altdert Lennips and Mrs.
George Young of Langside were
in London on Tuesday at St.
Joseph's Hospital where they
visited with Mrs Gertrude Tiffin.
Albert Lennips was able t'o return
home with them
Victor Wybenga attended Knox
College. Toronto, on Tuesday and
Wednesday, after which he had
exercises to du at home.
Mr. and Mrs Fred Tiffin and
Russel Ritchie were in London on
Wednesday at St Joseph's Hospi-
tal to bring Mrs Gertrude Tiffin
to her home in Wingharn.
Russel Rttchie was admitted
Friday to Wingharn and District
Hospital
Mr and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw. and
family arrived home from holi-
days in Florida Saturday.
In a special confirmation ser-
vice at the United Church on Sun-
day. Irene Catherine Wall. Janet
rhrist the Adams, and Earl Doug-
las Thompson were received into
full membership of the congrega-
tion. Pastor Karel de Koeijer ot-
ficiated. •
Mr and Mrs. Bill Rintoul were
Lit Blyth Sunday afternoon to visit
with her mother. Mrs George

spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Bevan Tiffin and Stephen,
and accompanied them to Wing -
ham to visit her sister, Mrs. Ethel

Church Women held their Janu-
ary meeting last Wednesday at
the home of Mrs. Russel ('hap -
mane Mrs Elwood Groskorth
opened the meeting w ith the sing-
ing of a inn and Mrs. Millan
Moore gave the call to worship.
Mrs. Elwood Groskorth and
Mrs. George Thompson gave
New Year's prayers. Mrs, Millan
Moon! led a discussion- f'r'om the
January Observer entitled. The
Discussion Club"
Mr's. Moore presided for the
business. The minutes were read
by Mrs. Dave Gibb. W.l. call was
answered by 13 mem ,ers.
The World Day of , Prayer.
Murch 7, will be held at the Pres-
byterian Church. The Huron
Presbytery Rally will be held in
Stratford on February- 9.
Mrs. Russel Chapman led in
prayer for Curtis Marwood who
returns to his missionary work in
Africa this month.
