BELGRAVE — Five- people
from the area attended the Toc-
Alpha Christmas conference in
Niagara Falls. They were Donna
Walker, Marilyn Robertson,
Nancy Anderson, Cameron Proc-
ter and Grant Benson.
The theme of the conference
was "People seeking alternatives •
to a chemically -oriented life
style". The mood was warm and'
loud and the medium was in-
volvement.
The conference was held De-
ceml$er 27-30 and was an interest-
ing etcperience for all concerned.

Plymou.h, Ind.
Warwick Campbell, a native of
Wingham, died Thursday, De-
cember 30, at Marshall County's
Parkview Hospital, Plymouth,
Indiana, following an illness of-
several months.
Mr. -Campbell was the son of,
Charles and Winfred Warwick
Campbell, born March 26, 1897,
and on October 15, 1938 married
Marjorie Gray, who survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs.
Frank Edgar of Wingham and a •
number of nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his
parents and two brothers, Gra-
ham and James Campbell.
A retired employee of Haw-
thorne -Melody Farms Dairy, Inc.
at Plymouth, Mr. Campbell was a
member of the Indiana associa-
tion of sanitarians, the Indiana
association of international as-
sociations of milk, food and en-
vironmenal sanitarians and a
past treasurer of the county dairy
association. He was a resident of
Plymouth, Indiana, for 35 years
and was assistant sanitarian with
the Marshall County health de-
partment for five years.
Funeral service was conducted
Christmas Day at the Van Gilder
Funeral Home with the Rev.
James Campbell, pastor of Ply-
mouth's First Presbyterian
Church, officiating. Interment
was in New Oak Hill Cemetery,
Plymouth:

day, December 27, when funeral
service was field for Robert Les-
lie Stephens, 39, who died sudden-
ly as the result of. an accident on
December 24.

dies at Huronview
Gordon Edgar Walsh who
farhled in Morris Township until
oving to Belgrave ten years
o, died December 28 at Huron-
ew, Clinton. Mr. Walsh, who
was in his 85th year, had stiffered
a long illness.
He was born in East Wawanosh
Township. His parents were the
late Joshua and Margaret Walsh.
He is survived by his wife, -the
former Margaret • Mae Speirs
whom he married' in Brussels; a
daughter, Mrs; Murray (Elaine)
McDowell of Cookstown and a
son, Clifton of Belgrave. ' Thefe
are six grandchildren.
Mr. Walsh is also survived by
two sisters, Mrs. George (Mabel)
Jordan of "Belgrave and Mrs.
Jack (Olive) Johnstoh, Blyth,
and his brother ' James, also of
Belgrave.
Funeral service was conducted
by Rev.John John Roberts of Knox
Y.lni—&d Church on December 31,
at the S. J. ° Walker Funeral
Home, Wingham. Temporary, en-
tombment was in the Wingham
Mausoleum with burial later in
Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.

OWRC chairman
TORONTO — John H. H: Root,
MPP for Wellington-Dufferin,
has been appointed by Order -in -
Council chairman of the, Ontario
Water Resources Commission,
' He .succeeds R. D. Johnston who
has been named Deputy Minister
of Labour.
Mr. Root was first elected to
the Ontario Legislature in 1951. In
1958,he became Minister Without
Portfolio, a position he held until
1961 when he was appointed to the
OWRC. He was sworn in a vice
chairman of the commission in
1964.
With his, brother and son, Mr.
Root operates a 306 -acre farm in
Erin Township, as well as a farm.

farm marketing. ,He has been a
spokesman for the OWRC to the
Legislature, and on the, commis-
