RIBBON ROCKET
Cut 5/8 inch Hall Sheen rill -
ton into 12 inch lengths. Taker
• ,one piece, holding one end: in -
each hand .with thumbs up, two
inches apart. Roll the ends to-
ward each other. Continue un
til shanks tighten. Each twist
should slip under the one above
it but may need coaxing. Now,
hold the ends four inches apart
and rotate the rocket •point
down in a clockwise direction
until the shanks 'become taut.
Moisten a scrap piece of ribbon
to fasten the end.
• THE RIBBON ROSE
Take a 20 incirstrip of one -
inch wide ribbon. •Holding it in
the left hand two inches from
the end, roll ribbon inward,
forming a tight. core. (approxi-
mately 6 turns.) Fold the rib-
bon at a right angle toward the
core forming a diagonal edge.
Crease the fold and rotate the
• core, keeping the two points of
the crease level with the top of
the core. At the end of each
crease fold again at a right
angle and rotate core. Repeat
until rose is the desired size.
Moisten end and wrap around
,,core to fasten. Make leaves
from green ribbon, moisten and
wrap around base of stem.
• RIBBON POINSETTIA
This seasonal flower really
adds a toubh of Christmas to a
package. For petals, cut three
•strips of ribbon in' each of these
lengths: six inches, five inches
and four inches. Cut ends to a
sharp point. Moisten each
• piece in the centre and twist to
form two petals. Moisten the

Midget hockey team as they
headed to Garden City, near
Detroit, to play the midget
team there. The Canadian
boys were billeted out with boys
on the American team and en-
joyed "a wonderful social week-
end as Well as participating in
two rousing hockey games,com-
ing out on top in both cases.
Allan and Kevin each scored.
Final count was 6 to 1 on the
Saturday evening and 8 to 0 On
Sunday morning.
