Mr. and Mrs. Ernie D'Arcey visited on Sunday with Mr: and Mrs. Gerald D 'Arcey in Hutton- ville. Little Miss Bonnie Lee returned home with them for a week's holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Clarkson and family attended the funeral in Maple. Ontario, last week of Mrs. Clarkson's father, Wil- liam Marwood. Mr. Noble Cattanach sppa several days last week To- ronto. Week -end and Saturday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Stan- ley Bride were Mrs. Jack Rid - Jell and three children of Lind- say and Mr. and Mrs. Lome Bride and two daughters of Ni- agara Falls. Mrs. Elmer Harding and Mrs. Jack Brown spent one day last week in Maple. Mr. Jack Wilson was able to return home last week from Listowel Memorial Hospital. Mx. Gordon Nickel of Hes- peler spent the week -end with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lep pington of Schomberg spent the week -end at their home here. Mx. Jim King received sec- ond degree burns last week at the Campbell Soup Plant ,where he is employed, and has been confined to Listowel Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Haus of Kitchener spent the week- end with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schumacker. Mr. and Mrs. K. Jordan and family spent Sunday with Mr.. and Mrs. C. Jordan. Mr, and Mrs. Curtis Jordan were in London last Thursday. They were accompanied by Mrs. Herman Nethery of Bel - grave who visited her husband, a patient in St. Joseph's Hospi- tal. The sympahty of the com- munity goes to Mr s. Scott Clarkson in the death of her father last week at Maple. Mrs. Gladys Denny and Thel- ma of Preston were Sunday visi- tors with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moore. The Fordwich Institute meet- ing for November is withdrawn in favour of going to Clifford Institute the same night. • The bazaar and casserole tea held in the Fordwich United Church by the UCW units, was well attended. The bake table was well stocked with home- made goodies of every sort which soon disappeared. The basement was decorated in the Christmas spirit. Approximate- ly $287.00 was realized. Mrs. George Richards. JIM and Carol Ann of London spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs, Austin Stinson. Mrs. Stinson and Miss Minnie McElwain re- turned home with them for a couple of days. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cowan and Nancy of Harriston visited with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Arm- strong on Sunday. They aU visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hall in Kincardine. Mn and Mrs. Arnold Car - law and Allana and Miss Arlene Mara of Don Mills spent Satur- day with Mr. and Mrs. Mel Al- lan. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Graham of Toronto spent the week -end at their home here. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wray, Brian and Grace, of Scarboro, spent the week -end at their home here. M. and Mrs. Harvey Ortdo and fatAlly of DOA Mills were week -end yisitors with M. and Mrs. Harold Dols. M. and Mrs. Wellington Hargrave, Doug and David via ted Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Hargrave in Listowel. Mrs. Elsie Demerling is at present confined to Bruce Coun ty Hospital.
