- meeting was held on Monday
at the home of Alex Robertson.
Jane Sheill read the minutes.
Nine girls answered the roll'
call.. They discussed ideas for
the Achievement Day exhibit.
The next meeting will be
held on Monday, November 3
at Jack Sheill's. The girls
worked on their free choice ar-
ticles and the meeting -closed
with Taps.

HEW RAVE- -The seventh
meeting at the home of Mrs.
C. W. Hanna, leader, was

Louise Procter. Seven girls an-
swered the roll call, "Why I
chose my free choice article

at the neckline and her scallop-
ed edged veil was held by a
pearl tiara. $ She carried a Cas-
rade of yellow roses, Mr. Mc-
Lennan gave his daughter in
marriage. * -
The 'attendants were gowned
in georgette over taf feta; styled
with high yoke,' full gathered ,
back and Edwardian sleeves. .
They wore matching rosebuds
in their hair and carried baskets
.of yellow and bronze mums
with trailing streamers.
Miss Dianne Elston of Wa-
terloo, maid of honor, wore
bittersweet; the bridesmaids,
Miss Marlene Nicholson of
Kitchener, Miss Marylou Shef-
ter, R. R. 4, Wingham and Miss
Wendy Ireland, Guelph wore
autumn yellow and - the junior
bridesmaid, Miss Betty Ann. ` '
Schefter was gowned -in bitter-
sweet..
Jim Schefter was his broth-
er's best man and the ushers
were Carl Martin and the
bride's brothers, Murray Mc-
• Lennan and Calvin McLennan.
Master Bill Armstrong was jun-
ior usher.
The dinnet and reception .
were held at the Legion Hall in
Wingham" where the head table
was decorated with candles and
• the wedding cake. Guests' to
bles were decorated with yellow
mums. ' .
The bride's mother wore a
turquoise brocade dress and
jacket ensemble with fur trim,
black peau de soie accessories
and corsage of yellow .mums`.
The groom's mother chose a
dress and coat ensemble of pow-
der blue brocade with . silver ac-
: cassettes and corsage; of pink'
mums.
The young couple left on a
. wedding trip to New York State.
Mrs. Schefter travelled in a
brown and gold dress and coat
ensemble. Her accessories
were brown and she wore a cor-
sage of yellow roses.
Mr. and Mrs. ,Schefter will
live in Wingham.
STITCHIN' GRANNIES. '
The sixth meeting of the
Gorrie Stitchin' Grannies was
held October 25 at 9:d19 km.
at the home of Mrs. 'L( Watson
with four members present who
answered roll call, "Places fly,*
and Roman stitches -could be
used". Sharon McMillan, pres-
ident, opened the meeting with
the pledge and motto. Debbie
Stephens read the minutes. Mrs
