Mrs. Don Robertson was or-
ganist and Gordon Leggatt was
soloist. The processional was
"Praise My Soul the King of
Heaven". Mr. Leggatt sang
"Wedding Prayer" and "Whither
Thou Goest". The church was
decorated with white mums,
pink gladioli and white candles
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Donaldson
of Wingham and the groom's
pare;its are Mr. and Mrs. Doug-
las Campbell of R. R. 3, Blyth.
The bride entered the church
with her father, gearing a
floor -length gown of peau de
sole with. empire.waist. The
elbow -length sleeves and high
yoke neckline were trimmed
with a wide border of Italian
lace, Her floor -length train
trimmed with matching lace
fell from a bow at the neckline
and her shoulder -length scal-
loped veil of illusion net was
centred With white satin roses
on net petals, The *bride car-
ried a cascade 4f pink roses.

was maid of honor and the
bridesmaids wore Mrs. Wesley
being of Toronto and Miss
Adora MacLean.of Wingham.

sion was "UCW- -Who, Needs
It?". And following their ap=
pearance-at the North Huron
Regional Rally, panelists were
present Wednesday 'evening at
Ethel United Church for the
North Perth Regional UCW Ral- •
ly.
After considerable discussion
with audience -participation, '

was Mrs. Harold Babensee of
Stratford., presbyterial president
Speaking on discipleship, she
concluded with the following
quotation from The United
Church Observer:
"The Christian church should
represent the feelings of people
who go out of their way to
identify with the exploited . ,the -
sinners and the outcasts.' There
should be no such thing as an
outsider to the Christian.'"
Mrs. Babensee was introdu-
ced by Mrs. Carson Watson Of .
Brussels.
Mrs. Doig presided for the
rally while Mrs. Ken Graham
of Fordwich was secretary. Ap-
proximately 70 ladies were,
present for the event. The op-
ening worship period was con-
ducted by the Wingham UQW
and greetings were offered by
the Wroxeter group.
Presbyterial reports were giv-
en by the following officers:
secretary, Mrs. O. R. Sawye„rj
of Mitchell; literature, Mrs.
Helen Currie of Hensall; treas-
' urer, Mrs, W. McDonald of
Hampstead. .
Mrs. McDonald reported that
to date UCW groups have donat-
ed $42, 848. 76 and should reach
the objective of $54, 454.
The morning offering was
dedicated by the Bluevale UCW.
Coale UCW presented "In Mem-
Qdam" and a skit was presented
by the Fordwich tiCW. Roll
call, "An idea shared" was an-
swered by the UCW presidents.
During the afternoon session

the guest speaker. Mrs. (Rev.)
Everett Hawkes, of Bluevale,
who told of her experiences
when she and her husband serv-
'' ed in mission work in the Ken-
tucky mountains. She gave a
vivid picture of the joys and
*sorrows shared with;t1tese peo-
ple, many of whom were uned-
ucated and endured many hard,.
ships, Mrs. R, Campbell
thanked her for coining to the
meeting.
The closing prayer wax
made .by Mrs. Willis and a so-
cial hour was enjoyed.

The Ladies'' Auxiliary to the
Royal,Canadian Legion, Branch
180, initiated three new mem-
bers -at the Monday night meet-
ing, Mrs, Lillian. Newman,

',winger Hospital in London re-
questing used- nylons to be used
inn crafts: If anyone has nylons
to contribute they May be given

they are sent to the hospital.
Several other appeals were
heard including the("CNIB Tand
British Sailors' Society.
It -was announced that the
Wingham bowling teams did
well in the recent tournament
,'held here, winning both the cup
and the runner- up position.
Eighteen teams ,from the zone •
participated.
November promises to be a
busy month. An invitation was
received to attend a euchre
party in Goderich November 5;
a bowling team will go to Exe-
ter the same day and a team
will compete at, the Walkerton
bowling tournament on Novem-
ber 29.
The Remembrance Day
church parade will be held this
year in Bluevale, November 11
at 11.30 a. m. Anyone who
heeds 'a ride should be at the
armouries here at 11 o'clock,
The ladies will also hold a
bake sale in the Oddfellows'
Hall on November 8. '

At the Fergus High School
senior graduation cerernony
held recently, Miss Mary Mack-
lam won the Fergus Rotary Club:
Bursary. The bursary is award-
ed to a .student entering Teach-
er's College or preparing for
the teaching profession; who
has been recommended bythe
high school staff. •
Miss Macklam also receiv-
ed the history prize, awarded
to the student who obtains the
highest mark in Grade 13 his-
tory; the biology prize, award-
ed by Dr. V. S. Foster' to the
student who obtains the highest
mark in. Grade 13 biology; and
the Prefect Medal.,,

Dorothy Boyle of Toronto on
her trip to the Holy Land. Re-
