tion about cancer will be , dis-
perised by a panel of highly -
skilled cancer experts.

ing of the Messengers was held
in the Sunday School room of
the United Church on Sunday
morning at 11:15 a. m: under the
leadership of Mts. Murray Scott ,
and Mrs. Ross Higgins.
There were seven children
present from 5 to 8 years of age.
They enjoyed the study book,
"The Land of Tender Toes".
The Messengers will meet
alternate Sundays to the Explor-
ers. Next meeting will be Sun-
day, November 2.
St. Stephen's
Guild meets
GORRIE--Mrs. William Ben-
nett was hostess for the October
meeting of the St. Stephen's
Guild. Mrs. Olive May led the
opening devotions. Mrs. Harry
Zimmerman read "The Origin
of Hallowe'en". A favorable
financial report of the harvest
supper was given.
The Guild spent some time
deciding on samples of vinyl
covering. Plans were made for
a Country Store on November
15 to be held in the basement.
The mystery prize was won
by Brenda Bennett and lunch
