attended a W. M.S. rally held
in Paisley on Thursday of last
week. The rally included la-
dies from three Presbyterials ,
and,present were the national
secretaries in charge of chil-
dren's work, girls' work, and
adults' work, who conducted
workshops.
A large crowd gathered in
the Belmore Community Centre
on Friday evening to honor re-
cent newlyweds Mr. and Mrs.
Rea Grant at a reception. Mr.
Walter Renwick addressed the
couple and they were presented.
with a gift of money. Mr. Grant
was a former resident of our '
area. They now reside in Lon-
don.
Many from our community
attended the Teeswater Fair on
Saturday. Congratulations to
all from the area who won prizes;
in fair exhibits.

has spent the summer in Tees -

Sewups met Friday in the hall.
Joyce Tiffin presided and thir
teen members answered the roll
call by stating the uses for lazy
daisy and . chain stitches. Thel-
ma Purdon read the minutes.
Discussion centred on uses of
lazy daisy andchain stitches
and on fabric for the free choice
article. They reviewed the
color scheme. The fly and Ro-
man stitches were demonstrated
as well as how to make twisted
cord.
The group worked on the
uses of stitches on the illustra-
tion sheets and then worked on
their runners till the meeting
was closed.
