Leader shortage
leaves a waiting
list for Cubs
The Wingham Cubs have be-
gun another term and almost
every Cub returned for the first
regular meeting in the public
school last Thursday night. It
is hoped new boys will be wel-
comed on Tuesday night but
there will still be 16 on the wait-
ing list.
It is regretted that there is a •
waiting list. Several boys are
eager to join Scouts and would
do so if,leaders could be obtain-
ed and more boys could be ac-
commodated.
In the meantime we will
carry on with a •full pack of
about 40' boys. Bruce Roberson
has returned as Cubmaster with
assistance from Ken Post, Ter-
ry Nethery and Mrs. Dawson
Pollock: Cal Gray and Mrs.
Guenter Heim have volunteered
to be leaders and their help will
certainly be appreciated.
The boys raided the town for
numerous articles needed for a
Sdavenger Hunt, returning tired
and excited from their advent-
ure with the Yellow Six the win-
ners.
Three badges were awarded:
Red Star to Danny Irwin and
Bronze Swimmer Badge to Keith
Cameron and 13rian Rcid.
The meeting closed with the
Grand Howl.
