Presbyterian W. M. S. met last
Wednesday at the home of Mrs.
Wallace Conn. Mrs. Conn,
president, gave the call to wor-
ship and Mrs. Wesley Tiffin
read rhe Scripture and gave the
meditation. •
Mrs. Earl Caslick gave read-
ings, "How Much We Depend
on Others" and "Our Excuse for
One Another". Roll call was
answered with 'a verse on rest.
The offering was received and
dedicated by Mrs. Cecil Fal-
coner. Mrs. Frank Coultergave,
a reading, "Together".
The minutes were read by
the secretary, Mrs. Russel
Ross.. A thank you note for a
cup and. saucer was read from
Mrs. Alex Coulter of Goderich.
The September meeting was an-
nounced.
Mrs. Victor Emerson gave
the topic, "Everyday Romance';
pointing out that those who
walk every day with the Bride-
groom find life a continual
marriage feast. There are no
common days for the promise
of the Perfect Lover is faithful-
ly.kept. "No man liveth to
himself. We are helping or
hindering other souls by what
we are and for our carelessly
uttered words we must give ac-

WHITECHURCH--A recep-
tion was held in the hall Friday
evening for Mr. and- Mrs. Alex
Craig when a large crowd was
present to enjoy the social time
and dance to the music of Tif-
fin's orchestra. Mrs. Craig is
the former Diane Coultes'.
Mr. and Mrs. Craig were
called to the platform after
lunch by Joe Tiffin; Brian Rin-
toul read an address of congratu-
lations and expressed the com-
munity's appreciation for the
many services each had render-
ed. On behalf of the softball
team, Ken Houston presented
them with a gift and Gary Rin-
toul made the presentation from
the gathering.
Alex and Diane replied, each
thanking the sponsors of t h
vent, their many friends who
attended and expressed appreci-
ation for the gifts.
