The groom's mother wore an
ivory sheath with brown n e t
coat and corsage of crimson
carnations. Guests were pres-
ent from Chatham, N.I3. , To-
ronto, Montreal, Syracuse, Oak-
ville, Kitchener, Seattle and
Vancouver.
The bride travelled in a two-
piece yellow Swiss linen dress
with matching tam and black
patent accessories. After their
honeymoon a t Digby Pines, N.S.
they will reside in Weston.
The groom is Comptroller at
Field Aviation and the bride
will teach at Thistletown Sec-
ondary -School.
A perfect summer day en-
hanced the wedding in Sacred ,7
Heart Church, Walkerton, of
Barbara Jane King, daughter Qf
Mr. and Mrs. ,Owen King of
•Walkerton, and Frederick Mi-
chael Rea, son of Mr. and Mrs.,
Peter Rea of Oakville. The '
bride wore off white Indiansilk
with jewelled midriff and neck9
line and c arried a hand 'bouquet
of Sweetheart roses.
She was attended by her sis
ter, Mrs. John .Lyons o f Etolii-
coke, wearing blue crepe with
midriff and draped skirt and
carrying rose carnations.
The best man was Anthony
Rea of Oakville. The ushers
were Carl Dinka and Ian -Robin-
son of Toronto and Peter Rob- •
inson of Kitchener.
The bridal party was met at
the door o'ithe church by eft --
pastor, Father Newstead and
two acolytes. They led the '
bridal party to the front of the
church where they paused for a,
moment with the bride standing
with her parents and the groom
with his. The bridal couple
then advanced to the altar to-
• gether. 'The 'sanctuary was dec-
-.mated -with,baskets of.pinkgjails
was Mrs. Ken Weicker of Walk-
erton. • .
A reception was held in the
Rose Garden followed by dinner
at the Hartley House.

in nurses' training. At present

residence in Kitchener following their recent wedding at
Gorrie United Church. Mrs. Elliott is the former Jane
Maureen Powell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell L.
Powell of R. R. 2 Wroxeter, and the groom is the son of

the bride, and m any and beau-
tiful gifts were presented. Var-
ied contests were enjoyed and
refreshments served.

Fordwich. The groom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. H. J, Wat-
kins of Leeds, Yorkshire. Eng-

son.
The bride wore a peau de
chan gown in A-line design
with front lace panel from the
neckline to hemline. An in-
verted pleat at the back formed
a flowing train with a large
bow at the waist. A tiara of
• rosebuds and lily -of -the -valley,
interspersed with pearls and
rhinestones, held her bouffant
shoulder veil. She carried a
spray of yellow roses centered
with an orchid, with stephanotis,
ivy and fern, Mr. Harris gave
•his daughter in marriage.

maids, were gowned in apple
green Italian charm. •Their
dresses were styled similar to
the bridal gown. They wore

and white feather carnations.
